Baxter was the winner this weekend at the Packerland agility trial in De Pere. He took 1st in Excellent FAST.

He almost qualified in Standard, but Baxter's momma (me) messed up and called his name while he was still in a tunnel. This caused him to come back out of the tunnel on the side of entry. Oops - a refusal. Only 1 allowed in Open and he got a 2nd on the entry of the weave poles.

Chester decided to visit the judge and had a super fun time creating his own course along the way.

Hope you are enjoying the 4th of July weekend. Have a safe, fun holiday from Chester, Baxter and oh yeah their momma!

Stay cool and don't forget if your pups are going on the pavement in this heat, protect their paws by applying Mushers Secret or Healthy Promise "Paw Guard" prior to going outside. It is necessary to reapply it every 15 minutes or so, so it is only a short term solution.

However, I recently seen "Crocs" for dogs at a Pet Smart store. lol My guys won't tolerate wearing anything on their paws, so that is a lost cause for them but maybe your pups would like them.🤪 Also, keep those doggies hydrated.

The event on Saturday had a great turnout! The weather was perfect, and dogs and their humans enjoyed some yummy treats.

The Meet & Greet sponsored by Mutt Life Rescue seemed to have a good turnout, plus some dogs and owners enjoyed trying out the fun obstacle course, located in the large group classroom.

The biscuit contest was popular having 80 entries. The lucky winner is Nancy K., who guessed the exact number of biscuits that was in the container. Congrats to Nancy!

Please join us for a fun filled day on Saturday, May 30 • 9am - 2 pm. Lots of fun activities: Mutt Life Rescue will be on-site with some dogs for you to meet, and to answer any questions about adopting or fostering a rescue dog. Take a tour of Black Dog Training, or do some shopping around with the various vendors in the parking lot.
