Happy 2nd Birthday🥳 & congratulations on your adoption🎉. Mayberry was a very timid young feral kitten who was found alone in a dangerous environment, when she barely weighed 2 lbs, she endured on-going ear infections which effected her hearing. Have a happy, healthy long life sweet girl😻

Maisie did great with her surgeries yesterday, her back leg was amputated & I opted to have her spayed at the same time, to avoid more anesthesia again. Today she's up walking around playing with her toys. Thanks to everyone who made this surgery possible😻

WE NEED YOUR HELP, sweet 4 mos Maisie needs surgery to amputate her back leg, she was born with a birth defect that prevented the leg from fully developing & it's causing both pain & infection risk from self mutilation. Maisie was left abandoned along with her mom & 3 siblings outside the entrance of a small animal shelter, the staff found them the next morning, they were crammed in a small pet carrier. The shelter contacted us for help & we took in all 4 kittens, 2 have been adopted. Without our help Maisie would have been euthanized .We need to raise $861.00 to cover this life saving surgery. Please give what you can so we can all help Maisie live a happy, healthy, pain free life as a tripod kitty.

Happy June☀️Kitten Season is in full swing & we have lots of adorable ones available to adopt. It's also our busiest time for TVAR (Trap, vaccinate, Alter, Return or rehome) adult stray cats, We've successfully trapped 52 adult cats in the community since March, those cats are now released back, being fed & cared for daily & no longer producing more cats. Its an endless cycle for them if not altered..one female cat will avg 3 litters each year, & a female goes into heat @ 4-6mos of age. Please if you have adult cats that go outdoors or see any, please make sure they're altered, vaccinated & microchipped or reach out to us for help..Feralcathelpers.com for info & to donate to our cause 😺

It's Throwback Thursday & this week our spotlight is on Tiggy, Tiggy was less than a year old when she & 8 other adult cats were surrendered to me by someone who had each one living in a pet carrier for almost a year. He lived in the country & didn't want the cats in his yard to keep multiplying. He did atleast provide food & affection & I was able to get each one adopted. I then went back with a volunteer & trapped dozens of cats from his yard which had become a dumping ground for unwanted cats. We got each cat altered & returned to him & we kept the young kittens. Tiggy loves her human Dad & his lap is her favorite place to relax😻

It's Throwback Thursday for sweet Benji & Mocha who were adopted together a few months ago. Benji was found as an orphan & was very malnourished & developed Stomatitis an oral disease so most of his teeth had to be extracted. Mocha was found @ a McDonald's in North Charleston as an abandoned teen kitten, they became buddies while @ KitCats. We're so happy these boys found the forever family they deserve😻

Our Story

We are a 501 c-3 non-profit cat rescue organization located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Our program TVAR (Trap, Vaccinate, Alter + Return) is set up for the feral and stray cats in our community East of the Cooper..founded in 2016 we’ve TVAR’d over 300 un-neutered/spayed cats, thus reducing the number of litters being born to free roaming cats. In addition to our TVAR program, we have dedicated caretakers for our various cat colonies in Mt. Pleasant. They provivde daily feedings and homemade outdoor shelters to keep the cats out of the elements. Managing these cat colonies gives our community cats better and longer lives. Currently FCH cares for 50+ outdoor colony cats on a daily basis. We also provide cat food to local seniors on limited incomes so that they can continue to feed the community cats in their neighborhood. Feral Cat Helpers joined Petsmart as an Adoption Partner in May of 2018, todate we’ve adopted out over 120 cats + kittens. 30+ of those cats were deemed un-adoptable by the local Animal Society. We proved them wrong and all of those cats are living healthy lives as indoor cats with their new families. Finding good homes for all cats no matter their age, color or quirks is important to us. From ‘Hopeless to a Home’ is our belief. We are an adovocate for helping to re-home cats of all ages for cat owners who are unable to keep their pet for unforseen reasons.
