🐶😂 **DOES YOUR DOG UNDERSTAND ENGLISH… OR JUST THE IMPORTANT WORDS?** 💙💛

Let's be serious for a second...

You can call your dog's name 15 times, and they suddenly forget how hearing works. 🙉😂

BUT whisper one of these words from across the house...

🦴 TREAT!

🚗 RIDE!

🌳 WALK!

🍽️ DINNER!

And suddenly you've got the world's BEST listener! 🐕💨

At **Scenthound Irmo**, we LOVE the funny personalities that make every dog unique!

From the energetic wiggle-butts to the dramatic little divas, every pup brings something special through our doors. 💙💛

🎃🐶 **SPOOKY SEASON IS HERE, IRMO!** 💙💛

Tomorrow is Halloween, and we want to see your furry little monsters, superheroes, pumpkins, and princesses! 👻🐾

Before the treats and tricks begin, here's a little reminder to keep your pup safe:

🎃 Keep chocolate and candy containing xylitol out of reach.

👻 Make sure costumes are comfortable and don't restrict movement.

🐾 Keep pets secure when trick-or-treaters are coming and going.

💙 Give nervous pups a quiet place away from the excitement.

And now for the FUN part...

Picture the letter L. That's the shape of your dog's ear canal, and it's why wax and dirt settle where you can't see them.

Floppy ears hold in more warmth and moisture, so they get the reputation. Pointy ears collect their share, too.

Every ear shape, same routine.

🐶👂 **LET'S TALK ABOUT THOSE ADORABLE EARS!** 💙💛

Floppy ears, pointy ears, tiny ears... we love them all!

But did you know your dog's ears deserve regular attention, even when everything seems perfectly fine?

Changes worth paying attention to include:

🐾 Unusual odors
🐾 Redness or irritation
🐾 Frequent head shaking
🐾 Excessive scratching

At Scenthound Irmo, ears are one of the five areas we observe during our **S.C.E.N.T. Check®**.

Our goal is to help you stay informed about your dog's hygiene. Concerning changes should always be evaluated by your veterinarian.

💙 Because the little things matter when it comes to caring for family!

The pajamas are in the cart. We know. 🛒🎄

10/23/2026

Age 3. 🦷 That's when most dogs start showing early signs of dental disease, barely out of the puppy years.

It starts small, so it's easy to miss. Which is why brushing is a habit worth starting early, not something to save for the senior years.

Wellness, explained mid-bath 🫧

Most of us think of wellness as food, exercise, and vet visits. Routine hygiene is the fourth piece. Skin, coat, ears, nails, and teeth change a little every week, so regular check-ins catch small changes early, not all at once.

10/19/2026

Grandma's dog got the garden hose. Times have changed.

And yes, he sleeps in our bed, too.

10/16/2026

A good bath takes care of the coat and skin. But that still leaves out three other very important areas that need attention. Ears, nails, and teeth need regular care, too.

10/12/2026

Keeping up with your dog's routine is a lot of remembering. When was their last visit? What did they say about their ears? Who do you ask at 10 p.m. when something seems off?

The Scenthound app holds it all. Book your pup's next visit, see their S.C.E.N.T. Check results after every appointment, and reach a vet online 24/7.

One less thing to keep in your head this Pet Wellness Month. 🎃 Have you downloaded it yet?

How many of us thought walks kept our dogs' nails short? Dogs in the wild never needed a trim. Miles of running, digging, and rough ground did the work for them.

Our dogs have couches, grass, and walks around the block. Not quite the same wear. So walks help, but they don't finish the job. That's why a nail trim is part of every Basic Hygiene visit.
