🎉 Welcome Dr. Sam Schepers to the DFAH family! 🎉

We are so excited to welcome Dr. Schepers to Dutch Fork Animal Hospital! Dr. Schepers graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May, and today marks her first day of onboarding with our team. Tomorrow she’ll officially begin seeing appointments, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Dr. Schepers brings fresh knowledge, enthusiasm, and a compassionate approach to caring for pets and the people who love them. We know she’s going to be a wonderful addition to our team, and we can’t wait for all of you to meet her.

Just a friendly reminder that Dutch Fork Animal Hospital will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Please plan ahead for your pet’s needs by picking up any medications, prescription diets, or other supplies before the holiday.

We hope you and your furry family members have a fun and safe Fourth of July! Remember to keep pets indoors during fireworks, provide them with a quiet, secure place to relax, and make sure they have current ID tags or a microchip just in case they get startled.

Today we’re celebrating one of Dutch Fork Animal Hospital’s very own all stars! Dr. Herring somehow balances being incredibly fit, a world traveler, and a veterinarian who never hesitates to go the extra mile for her clients and patients, no matter what it takes.

Whether she’s squeezing in a last minute appointment to help a pet in need or planning her next adventure, she does it all with dedication and heart, usually fueled by Panera bagels and cream cheese 🥯 And of course, she always has her partner in crime, Reba the Australian Shepherd, right by her side for the journey.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Conner! 🦒

If you know Dr. C, you know he’s the definition of steady and calm—the kind of presence that makes both clients and patients instantly feel at ease. He has quiet confidence, treats everyone with genuine respect, and always does the right thing, no matter what. The integrity he brings to Dutch Fork Animal Hospital doesn’t go unnoticed, and neither does the way he makes every client feel like family.

And while he may not be the loudest in the room, don’t be fooled—he’s got a subtle, sneaky sense of humor that keeps all of us laughing.

In honor of his favorite animal, we celebrated a little early this week with the staff dressing up as giraffes for Dr. C’s big day—because nothing says appreciation like a herd of giraffes in the clinic!

We’re so lucky to have you, Dr. Conner. Hope your birthday is as great as you are! 🎉
