Exciting news! New member of the Teddy's Pet Care team. Mavis is glad to have a sidekick!

Back in January, we took in three dogs from an abuse case in Ridgeway, Missouri. Among them was Tulliver, the most emaciated, the most traumatized, and the one who carried the heaviest scars in his heart.

Tulliver (or “Tully” to his friends) is a special soul. With the people in his trusted circle, he is sweet, loving, and loyal. But new people? They were scary for him, in turn, he was often scary to them. We’ve had him listed for adoption, hoping to find that one perfect home that could keep him sheltered from the things that overwhelm him.

But what we’ve realized is this: Tully was already home.

In his foster home, Tully has found exactly what he needs — safety, peace, and love. He fits right in, and he’s learned that his foster dad’s lap is his favorite place in the world. Sometimes, the best outcome isn’t finding a new family, but recognizing that the right family was there all along.

Congratulations, Tully — you are finally, truly home.

Julia and I have really enjoyed having her here. If anyone is looking for a great companion, Gemmy is a wonderful, funny and easy dog. She is very sweet and cuddly.
