I was asked recently "What's the biggest thing you've learned over the last 12 months?"

It was an easy answer to say but it's been hard to do: Learn when to ask for help.
Just because I can do something doesn't always necessarily mean I should. Finding and trusting the right person is key and I've been blessed to cross paths with several talented, trustworthy people on a similar, small business ownership path.

I wanted to update my booth signs and someone reminded me about Kyle at Crooked Creek Creations. As you can see, he was perfect for the job! I reached out to him, sent some pictures for ideas and told him what I wanted to use them for. He used images from my branding files to design these.
They are just gorgeous 😍
He did such a better job than I ever could have! I am so glad I trusted him with this project and I'm glad I asked for help 🫶 The signs have gotten a lot of comments so I wanted to make sure everyone knows who made them. Give his page a follow!

This weekend, Precious Paws Pet Bakery will be in 2 locations on Saturday, stocked up all the tasty, simple ingredient treats for your pets 🐾🐾

📍 Merchants and Makers ArtPrize in downtown Grand Rapids on Monroe Center & Ottawa. 10-6pm
ArtPrize, Over 100+ local vendors, music and plenty of delicious food! I will be located on Ottawa in front of the GRAM

📍Lenderink Tree Farm
1401 House St, Belmont
Snack dealer #2 (Alicia) will be there from 9-3pm with over 30 other local crafters, makers and bakers. They have hayrides and games for the kids, grabs your pumpkins and mums while your there too!

And Thank you. Yeah, you! This is a big weekend for us and I simply wouldn't be able to do any of it without your continued support. I appreciate you all! My customers are the best 😊

Wednesday: Las Canchas GR market from 4:30-7:30 with some fun and unique events happening. 250 Seward NW, Grand Rapids
Thursday: Lowell Area Farmers Market from 2-7pm behind the library. This will be my last week there so make sure to stop by and grab some treats and information on how to restock after the market season is finished.

Friday & Saturday:
Market on the Ridge at the Sparta Apple Festival.
This two-day celebration is bursting with apple-inspired fun — fresh cider, homemade pies, apple-themed contests, live music, kids’ activities, and plenty of shopping along beautiful Division Street in downtown Sparta.

Never not share. I am an animal lover above all else

I am still thinking about 2 specific interactions from this past Saturday at Creston Farmers Market.
One customer was slightly reluctant to share the nickname of her cat because (like usual) it came with some explanation of how it came about. You know, one of the 8 extra, cute names your pet ends up with. So, I shared a recent story of Willow (pictured below) and the customer instantly busted out laughing and we giggled together ❤️ (Willow story in comments)
The second person slowed down as she walked by and as we made eye contact, she very softly said she recently lost her pet 💔 I said I was incredibly sorry and offered her her a hug, which caught her off guard, but she smiled and said thank you.

The bond between owners and their pets is significant and unique. We get excited when pets enjoy the treats we pick out for them. We also don't realize all the small things that remind us they're gone.

So, never not share. I love to hear all the stories about your pets, see the pictures and yes, offer hugs when needed 🐾🐾
