🎃🍬 ONE LITTLE TREAT CAN TURN INTO A BIG SCARE. 👻🐾

We are open if you need us this Halloween!

Halloween candy may be a treat for us, but it can be dangerous — and sometimes life-threatening — for our furry friends! 🐶🐱

🎃 Trick-or-treat bags: Curious noses can find their way into unattended candy in seconds!

🧡 KEEP HALLOWEEN FUN AND SAFE:
🐾 Store candy bowls and trick-or-treat bags out of reach.
🚫 Never share Halloween candy with your pets.
🆘 If your pet ingests candy, don’t wait, come see us immediately!

🚨 ANTIFREEZE POISONING IS A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY! 🚨

As temperatures drop, antifreeze becomes a serious danger to our pets. ❄️🐾

⚠️ Did you know pets may be attracted to antifreeze because of its sweet taste and smell? Many traditional antifreeze products contain ethylene glycol, which is extremely toxic to both dogs and cats. Even a small amount can cause severe kidney damage or be fatal.

Thank you so much for coming out Mr. Mabry! We appreciate the recognition and look forward to continuing to provide care for our community!

🐾 Celebrating one year of compassionate care!

Earlier this week, County Council Vice Chairman Jack Mabry presented a proclamation recognizing Creature Comforts Animal Emergency Center on its first anniversary.

In just one year, the center has provided emergency medical care to more than 3,100 pets, supporting families across Spartanburg County and surrounding communities when they need it most.

Congratulations, and thank you to the veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and staff for your dedication to our community’s pets and the people who love them! 💙

Miss Aida deserves her moment in the spotlight!

It's not often you meet a perfect little lady with the personality to match those big, beautiful eyes. Aida will completely steal your heart, and we're totally OK with that! Honestly, who could resist that face?

A huge shoutout to Dr. Trutwin and Grace for taking such wonderful care of our sweet Aida.

We made a friend at Barktoberfest🐾

Paige is soaking up some puppy love after J’Dore started feeling better!

Young puppies can sometimes arrive at our hospital lethargic and not feeling like themselves. When little J’Dore arrived, we discovered that her blood glucose was dangerously low. Our team was able to quickly check her glucose, place an IV catheter, and administer dextrose to help get her levels back where they needed to be.

Within minutes, this little baby was feeling much better, eating like a champ, and ready to head home with Mom!

But before she left, we just had to steal a few puppy snuggles. After all, puppy cuddles are an important part of emergency medicine too!
We’re wishing sweet J’Dore a speedy recovery and lots of happy, healthy puppy days ahead!
