What a coincidence. As we were walking around yesterday, I said to Landon, we should see if we have a picture of Kerrigan here as a baby. Last night as I was scrolling facebook, I was given this photo as a memory from exactly 12 years ago.
I couldn't resist doing a side by side comparison. So much has changed in this little girl's life but one thing that will always be the same: she loves Tautphaus Park.
We will be out there again for the Idaho Falls Night Market at the Zoo/Tautphaus Park on June 16th from 5-9. We cant wait to see you!

We Are So Excited to See You!

We have been thinking for a long time about when to finally open the U-pick and we have finally settled on a date. Monday June 15th will be our first official open day of 2026! Our schedule is as follows:

Open Hours U-Pick- Mondays AND Fridays (June-November)
9:00 am- hour before sunset
Other days and times available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
(literally just text me to see if we are home)

We WERE going to have the U-Pick open on Saturdays as well this year but after Landon's recent appointment to the IFFM board, we had to rethink our ability to be in multiple places at once. I hope our Mondays and Fridays schedule doesn't mess too much with anyone's plans.

The strawberries look like they are making good progress and will be ready to pick by then (though there might be limited availability for the first few weeks just to make sure they can keep up with demand)
We will also have other spring time veggies available like radishes, salad turnips, rhubarb, chives, and maybe a few cherry tomatoes.
As the season progresses, we will have much more to offer! My personal favorite, cucumbers, will be ready by late June and the peppers (who got horribly frozen last week) are making a good comeback.

As far as other farm news; we got the red potatoes planted, the russets are peeking out of the ground. The pumpkins sprouts are all up and almost ready to go into the ground. The peas are doing horribly and may need to be replanted. The okra looks fantastic (so exciting). The raspberries are actually doing so much better than I was expecting (although they probably won't be available for bulk picking). The summer squash and zucchini are all in the ground and doing well.
Phew, I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Anyways, we are sure excited to welcome everyone out to our little farm. We have been working really hard to make the place something we can be proud of these past few months and even though there is still a long way to go, I feel like we have something special here and we can’t wait to share it with you.
LOVE,
Emily Knowles

Happy Friday!

To be honest, we have had a really weird week and I feel like we are just barely recovering from everything we have been dealing with lately. We haven't had a lot of time to spend on the farm recently but I have been going out to check on everything and I am happy to report that it all is still growing well !

Also, we got some new baby ducks this week and I am in love! They are a breed that is great for duck eggs so we are looking forward to lots more delicious, rich, duck eggs in the not so distant future.

The strawberries, which I have been a little worried about for the last few weeks, are in full bloom! With the help of our three beehives that we set up a couple of weeks ago, I think the strawberries are going to have a very productive season.

We also planted out our pepper greenhouse this week but haven't gotten around to covering it with plastic yet. We are probably going to do that today as it looks like it is supposed to get a bit cold this weekend. There are 300 pepper plants in this greenhouse with a healthy mix of sweet and spicy varieties.

We have a limited amount of raspberry plants on the farm this year (probably only around 150-200 plants) so we aren't sure if we will be able to offer large quantities for picking this year. Regardless, the older, more mature plants are growing so well that I just needed to share a few pictures. I'm just so proud of my little babies!

One of my favorite and maybe one of the most underrated crops this year has got to be the potatoes. I am a huge fan of new potatoes as an early farm crop. I went out to check on them this morning and was so excited to see that they have sprouted! Planting these potatoes with the kids was such a fun memory. I hope all of that love and care transfers into the food for all of our customers to enjoy!

See you all in JUNE!
