The DCSPCA’s programs and services include:
• Animal Rescue and Care
• Working with potential adopters to find the perfect match between human and animal
• Low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic and referrals.
• County-wide Humane Law Enforcement.
• Investigate animal cruelty throughout the county, and provide educational programming for children and adults.
• Dog Control services for the towns of Hyde Park,

Pleasant Valley, Beekman, Clinton, Lagrange and Red Hook.
• Providing pet food to local food pantries.
• Safety net pet housing for families working with Grace Smith House and Hospice.
• Foster Care Program.
• Faithful Companion Pet Cemetery and Crematorium.

We are thrilled to welcome our friends from Bleu’s K9 Rescue to the shelter for a special educational program: Understanding Dog Body Language & Dog Bite Prevention for Children.

Teaching kids how to safely interact with dogs is one of the best ways to build a happy, dog-friendly community. Bring the family by to learn how to "speak dog" and stay safe!

Help local animals while you shop! During the entire month of June, the DCSPCA will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 reusable Community Bag sold at the US Route 9 & Kessler Drive Stop & Shop in Hyde Park.

Nimbus is a 10-year old super sweet girl who enjoys gentle affection and quiet companionship once she feels comfortable. She may take a little time warming up to new people and surroundings, but with patience and kindness, her loving personality truly shines. Nimbus would do best in a home without small children where she can feel safe and relaxed. She would love a cozy spot to nap, sunny windows to watch the world go by, and someone who will give her the time she needs to blossom. Once she trusts you, Nimbus will make a wonderful and loyal companion for many years to come!

Meet Zelda and Roscoe! Zelda is the one attempting a parkour leap over Roscoe. Is she graceful? Absolutely not. Does she possess the energy of a thousand exploding suns and a heart to match? 100% yes. Roscoe is her biggest fan (and occasional launching pad).

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather to visit our tabling event at ShopRite this past weekend. Thanks to your incredible support, it was a massive success!
