It’s “Dress as Your Future Self” day at school 😆😏

10/22/2026

Peaches owners had one main priority with her training: stop nipping their feet! We taught Peaches that and so much more! Nuisance behaviors, like overly rambunctious play, can stem from general lack of clarity of expectations and impulse control. We created charity through predictable boundaries, and worked on impulse control training all around historic downtown Wi******er with all its distractions. Peaches went home so excited to show off her new skills to her owners!

Scout - Fairfax VA

Scout came for Phase 2 of the Puppy All Inclusive package and excelled in every aspect! Her owners did fantastic keeping up with the puppy training, but still struggled with greetings and generally neutrality. They also had a dream of taking her running with them, so we focused on that as well to find she is the best running buddy ever when given a little guidance. Welcome to Ridgeside K9, Scout snd family!

Bedelia - Capon Bridge WV

This absolute sweetie pie, Bedelia, wanted desperately to love everyone and for everyone to be her new best friend, but her nerves often got in the way and sent her into an emotional spiral… eventually leading to her lunging and nipping at a child. We focused on tons of neutrality work, and gentle, positive exposure to new environments within the safety of her training commands. Her owners learned about how using the structure of basic obedience going forward will further help Bedelia to feel safe and secure enough to trust and relax. I sure enjoyed working with this pup and can’t wait to see her continue to grow and thrive!

Teddy - Bridgewater VA

After 7 years of close calls, Teddy’s owner’s had finally had enough when Teddy bit a guest at a backyard party. I’m happy to say that three weeks later he is a new dog - he has grown exponentially in terms of confidence, impulse control and trust in his humans. His owners learned how to set him up for success and recognize and manage the emotional undercurrents that can lead to bites long before they become an issue. Teddy is on to live his best life! Welcome to Ridgeside K9!

Duchess - Burke VA

Duchess struggled with fearfulness they caused her to completely shut down on walks, and on the flip side she also became quite sassy and opinionated at home and would often play hard to get. She transformed into a confident, walk-loving and obedient pup in her two weeks with Ridgeside K9. Welcome to the pack, Duchess and mom!

Mabel - Charles Town, WV

At 7 years old, Mabel had some deeply ingrained habits that her owners struggled to manage within their growing family. Mabel had to learn to share the crown with another princess in the house! We worked on clear boundaries, and strategized a realistic plan for structure and consistency with her family as Mabel continues to learn and integrate her new skills for a better, more respectful relationship dynamic.
