In Maryland, pet food manufacturers and distributors, retailers, and veterinary services and supplies are considered "exempt' from the shelter in place/closure rules. Clarification from the Maryland Office of Legal Counsel states this includes pet supply stores. Family Tails is taking care of essential workers' animals (law enforcement) and for those that are unable to care for their animals during the pandemic. Here's the evolving list:
