🐾 Why We Don’t Recommend On-Leash Dog Introductions 🐾

While it may seem like the easiest way for dogs to meet, on-leash introductions often create more challenges than benefits.

🔹 Leashes can quickly become tangled, creating tension and barrier frustration.
🔹 It’s easy to miss subtle signs of discomfort, fear, overstimulation, or reactivity from either dog.
🔹 We often focus on our own dog and forget that their behavior directly impacts how the other dog feels.

Successful dog interactions require both dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and free to communicate naturally. When introductions happen on leash, those signals can become restricted or overlooked.

Our goal is always to set dogs up for success and avoid unnecessary stress, tension, negative experiences, or overstimulation.

Understanding canine body language is key to helping our dogs build positive social experiences.

Everyone who signed up got a refreshing mid day treat! We had to break them up into little pieces to help the pups get the frozen goodies inside! Here is a sneak peek of the event today! ☀️🐶

These can be made at home to beat the summer heat! Just freeze a bowl of fruit and water overnight and put another bowl on top of the bowl that is filled and this will create a frozen bowl treat!
