Meet LAHJA Member Shelby Steinberg! 💫

Shelby has been a member of LAHJA for about two years. She loves the LAHJA medal finals and all the classes leading up to them. She explains she "loves that the organization is so positive and supportive.

Recently, Shelby rode to victory in the LAHJA Silver Medal Final at Gold Coast Labor Day. She says, "To win the LAHJA Silver Medal Final was amazing! It felt like all of my hard work with Freedom has paid off." Shelby also earned the reserve championship in the LAHJA Gold Medal Final at Gold Coast October and shares that "receiving reserve champion in the LAHJA Gold Medal Final was very rewarding. Freedom is truly special and I love him so much. I am also so grateful for my trainers for all they’ve done for me."

Congratulations Shelby Steinberg and Nicole Husky’s Freedom, Reserve Champion CPHA Child/ Adult Medal Finals and Siena Pravettone and Sam Gastelum’s Romanee Conti, 3rd place finish in the CPHA Child/ Adult Medal Finals. So proud of both of these riders in their first 3’ medal final! ✨

Congratulations Lily Grosz and her own Elvis 284 on a great first Capital Challenge! Placing 10th in the gymnastics phase with a score of 86 and scoring an 83 in the jumping phase of the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal Finals ending up 20th overall out of 169 entries. Also having a solid round in the THIS National Children’s Medal Final as well. So proud of this duo! Thank you for all your help with these two! 🌟

Congratulations to Lily Grosz and her own Elvis 284 on their 8th place finish in the American Tradition of Excellence Equitation Challenge presented by Whitethorne LLC. Lily and Elvis had an impressive first round score of 87. Thank you for all your help with this team!

Huge congratulations to Lily Grosz & Shelby Steinberg on an amazing weekend LA Spring!! Lily Grosz came out on top of the NHS Medal as well as ASPCA Maclay with her mount Elvis 284. Lily and Jacob Kemppainen’s Deseo Des Cinq Chenes won CPHA Style of Riding, along with putting in some quick rounds in the Low Children’s Jumpers. Shelby Steinberg and Husky Stables’ Freedom also had some winning rounds in their first show together. The pair won the LAHJA Bronze Medal and the 2’6 Carousel Hunter Derby with a pair of 84s! They also won rounds in the 2’6 and 2’9 Child/Adult Equitation. So proud of both Lily & Shelby for a great weekend!! Next stop, Flintridge!🔜💙

🌟Congratulations are in order to Shelby & Athena for a great weekend at OCHSA Finals!! Shelby Steinberg and her mount, Charlie’s Angel, owned by Kevin Husky, ended up reserve champion in the Low Children’s Hunters! Shelby & Charlie also had a 4th place finish in the 2’6 Jett Martin Spa Hunter Classic amongst impressive company. Athena Shah and her own, Penny, had some excellent rounds in the .70s as well as being Reserve Champion in the 12-14 CWD Flat challenge, qualifying her for the championship round! Even though this was her first weekend joining a flat class, Athena made it to the podium in 3rd place! So proud of these girls!!🌟
