Hi there! As you may or may not know, we maintain several community cat colonies in the Humble/Kingwood/Atascocita area and need some community support. Several volunteers have moved away or had to take a step back due to health issues and so we find ourselves needing some help. On your assigned day(s), you will go out to the colony(ies) and replenish food and water and keep a general eye out for the health and wellbeing of the colony(ies). For example, at each of our colonies the kitties are fixed and have received an ear tip just like the kitty pictured here. If you spot a kitty at the colony that doesn’t have an ear tip, you’ll let us know so that we can make sure we get that kitty scheduled for Trap, Neuter, Return (“TNR”). The key to a healthy colony is making sure that the kitties are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Does this sound like something you could help us with? If you are under 18 years old, you would need a parent/guardian to supervise you. If you are unable to volunteer, do you think you could donate food for these colonies? These community cats are a product of human/community neglect, and they really do need us to step up and pitch in to make sure the cycle ends. Can you help us be part of the solution?
