Today was one for the books. 📕
Our Project Homebound adoption event at Tractor Supply on Hwy 29 was absolutely incredible. So many people showed up — not just to meet the dogs, but to support the program, help handle pups, and be part of something bigger than all of us.
And the best part?
Knightly — after a year and 3 months in the program — finally found his forever home.
We cried. The handlers cried. Honestly, the whole village cried. Knightly was the last dog from the first group since I took over in August 2025, and watching him leave with his family felt like closing a chapter we’ve all been rooting for.
Tim Tim got adopted too — love at first sight.
We couldn’t have asked for a better match.
Everyone worked so hard to make today happen. It really is true what they say: it takes a village.
Thank you to all the volunteers, to the inmates whose dedication makes this program shine, to Officer Burress and the Athens‑Clarke County Department of Corrections for always showing up, and to the Animal Control team for transporting these precious dogs safely.
Our hearts are full.
Today was a win for the dogs, the handlers, and the entire community. 🧡🐾
