Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue

YGRR is a non-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization rescuing Golden Retrievers and Golden-Hearted dogs.

While in our care we provide individualized enrichment, medical care, and training. Our goal is to match every dog to their forever family. Our page highlights previously adopted Goldens from our program, and occasionally current residents and upcoming events It's our goal to help local dogs of any age find loving families in New England. We excel in re-homing senior Goldens and dogs of any age who have orthopedic needs. All our Goldens live at our kennel/headquarters 'Riverview' until they are adopted.

The difference a foster home can make - but our Isabelle is still looking for her FOREVER HOME!
😀Is that you?!

Isabelle has been shining brighter than ever in her foster home. She has another dog in the foster who has helped her tremendously! For this reason, Isabelle is searching for a home that already has a dog looking for a new friend! She is also search for people who will continue helping her with patience and calmness.

This 6 year old Golden gal came to us from the unfortunate life of puppy mill breeding, and has not lived in a normal home-setting until her foster came along!

A fenced-in yard is also ideal for her because she is still not very confident with a leash and all the outside world can throw at a dog who has never experienced it!
