Lizard cam is back up! The baby BPs have fully shed and will now be separated into their own spaces, so the lizard cam returns and apparently, the little dude missed being the center of attention.
He's being an absolute menace today. 😂

Siedra's clutch is fully hatched and Stacey's babies have nearly all shed, just waiting on the little dark baby now. As soon as that one sheds they can be separated and moved to their own spaces. I can't wait to get proper pictures of these littles. Two truly exciting clutches. I couldn't be happier!

Okay, I haven't been able to change the name details on the stream without OBS trying to crash on me, so I'll just add the parents here.

Mom: (Siedra) Mojave Red Gene Trick
Initially, I had no idea who dad was because I only paired her once, maybe twice, and she was acting like she wasn't going to build follicles at all. I chalked it up as a miss for the year and before I knew it she was gravid. 😬
I'm going straight back to my diligent ways this season though, and hopefully Black Frost Exotics will be hosting far fewer episodes of Jerry Springer this time around. 😂

In honor of World Lizard Day, the livestream has been temporarily switched back to this little crazy dude(or dudette, we really don't know yet). I, for one, have missed checking in on him, so I'm not disappointed!
So don't worry, the baby snakes are all doing well and preparing for their first sheds. ALSO, since these babies decided to start pipping two days early, I will be switching the camera over tonight to the next clutch in line. Sunday is day 55, so if they follow the same pattern as Stacey's clutch, we might get lucky and see some pips tomorrow on day 53!

These babies might not be what I was expecting to hatch out, but the surprise is half the fun! Since this is a bit of a "who's your daddy" situation, anyone want to take a stab at their genetics? We know mom is a pastel pinstripe lace, but dad is a question mark. Don't be afraid to guess wrong, this is just for fun! (Especially since they haven't shed yet. lol)

Sooooo, I may have misplaced some brain cells and totally got my hatch dates wrong for the first clutch of the year. I noticed this by pure happenstance and rushed to set up the hatch cam, only to see that we already have a pip! I thought Stacey's clutch wasn't due for another two weeks, but it's actually two DAYS! 😂
