Hatch cam is back!
We're doing things a little differently this year though. Instead of YouTube, I'll be streaming from Twitch, simply because there's an unknown issue with my internet that randomly drops my upload speeds down to near 0kbps for a minute or so. Even the slightest disruption will knock the YouTube stream offline and it has to be manually started again, which is not ideal. With Twitch, the stream will continue after the disruption like nothing happened. I'm still working on getting the channel perfected, but for now, we can watch the babies hatch again!
This is Aghun's teeny tiny clutch, and one has pipped!

I am a reptile breeder working with ball pythons, Mexican kingsnakes, Knoblochi kingsnakes, red-tailed green rat snakes, neotropical bird snakes, green tree monitors, and mourning geckos. This channel is for animal cams and watching babies hatch in real time.

A nearly impossible snake to get photos of, I swear. Plus, the lighting was atrocious, so I hope to get the chance to get more photos this weekend, hopefully better than these. lol

I'm known to be a stickler for expression. It's the reason I have so many one and two-gene animals in my collection. It's hard to determine gene quality/expression when morphs start getting stacked without knowing what those genes look like when isolated.
That being said, if a single gene vanilla doesn't look this good, I don't want it. 😇

Today's spotlight falls on Maraya. I don't know that I've ever shared this girl, and I certainly didn't have decent photos previously. She is finally in the rotation this season, and I am very excited to see the results of this clutch. She has been paired with more than one male, though I've only been able to confirm locks with two. My first choice is a pretty small boy who is unproven, so I wanted to have some backup options. 😅
She is barreling straight toward ovulation and was juuuuuust barely starting to go into shed when these photos were taken, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

So I am adding some listings to MM, which means getting some updated photos and I just had to share this one of Rook. Not only does this photo show off his gorgeous eye, it really screams "Rook in a nutshell" because he's just a really shy boy. He's been that way since the day I got him. It was tough getting him to unball for photos. 😂

Today's spotlight lands on this handsome fella, Obsidian. Now, last season he was supposed to become a dad for the first time when paired to Stacey, buuuuuut she had other ideas. lol
This season, if Nadira keeps building at the rate she has been, I expect he'll finally be daddy! I can't wait. He's just gorgeous. His color, as well as his dislike for sitting still, make him a tough subject to photograph. lol

The most beautiful sight I've seen in a hot minute. Everything was going sideways with this girl, but I'm super stoked to say that momma dropped five healthy eggs, no slugs, and most importantly, momma is doing well. Gonna be a looooong two months. 🙃
