Dennis here. I’m a sweet 2-year-old boy that moved in 18 months ago along with my litter of 6. I’m a FIP warrior that would do best as an only kitty or paired with the right cat. I ❤️ my brother, Tommy, who is also available for adoption🤞I'd like to find a furrever home but am also looking for a foster that would like to explore adoption with a foster-to-adopt opportunity. I’m loving and playful and I have a precious chirp. I could be the Purrfect cat in the right setting. I’m simply getting tired of living with so many cat roommates.

This Giving Season we are featuring our cats with long stays in hopes of finding them a home for the holidays. Meet Lucky. He is almost 2 years old and has been with us for 20 months.

He is a certified big boy, who fully expects to be carried — no matter what the scale says. The extra fluff just means premium-grade cuddles. He’ll even throw in some biscuits!

Your donation doesn’t just help with cat supplies and vetting, but also provides non-routine vet care to our cats with health needs. This year we’ve had 6 trips to the ER and
provided dental surgeries for 6 cats with severe dental needs. Such large expenses could be financially debilitating. Your support allows us to navigate these hardships.

The Fundraiser goal is $6,000 and runs until 12/12.

Your Giving Tuesday donation will:
*Cover full mouth tooth extractions for Neptune & Simone (estimated to total $2.5k)
*Fund spay/neuter surgeries
*Supply food, litter, and shelter
*Provide vet care for sick cats

Your impact:
$5 feeds a rescue cat for a week
$100 covers spay/neuter surgery
$124 provides vaccines and wellness

Martini here. I’m a gorgeous 9 year old girl with baby blue eyes. I was returned 14 months ago from my June 2022 adoption. My original adopter was experiencing financial difficulties & could no longer care of me. I’m very affectionate. love to stay by your side and receive pets. I can get overwhelmed with the other cats at times & prefer to be in a quieter environment. I’m currently being fostered by Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital as the hoomans thought I could use a break from the other gatos.

Senior brothers, Ren & Stimpy, found a home together & just in time for the holidays 🦃🥧
These bonded brothers were abandoned at a boarding facility when their previous owner passed. They got snatched up so quickly from El Gato because they are such sweet lap cats❤️ Their new family is so happy to have the addition of these cuddle bugs and we are so happy they kept them together💕Adoptions 1021 & 1022!🎉

Our Story

El Gato Coffeehouse & Cat Cottage is Houston's first and only cat cafe! We're partnered with Friends for Life and all of our cats are adoptable! We have a full café menu including a vegan food menu. We also have a cat boutique with goodies for both hoomans and their cats.
