Slow Sunday morning right here in Independence Heights/Heights. I had no clue that Angela's Oven & Central City Co-Op 🥕👩🏽‍🌾🍎 was right down the street from Mandi’s Mutts! After my very delightful breakfast at Angela’s, I check out Central City for the first time. Wow, just wow! What a fantastic little store. Per usual, I didn’t buy anything for myself but I did walk out with freeze dried shrimp treats for the dogs, and I also bought this Chill Dog oil from Oils.Earth ! I am thinking it will be a nice addition for my anxious pups when they stay with me and/or during groom sessions. The owner of Oils Earth was at the coop as well letting you try out free samples. If you don’t have anything going on this afternoon, you should check out all three!

The Gig: Social Media Content Creator (Part-Time / Contract)
Where: In-person at our facility in Oak Forest / Garden Oaks (77018)
Pay: $50 – per finished video (Ideally structured as a $200–$300 flat session rate for a 2-hour batch-filming block where we knock out 3–4 videos at once!)
About Us:
We are an established local grooming and boarding business with active Facebook and Instagram pages. We are looking for an up-and-coming creator, film student, or social media enthusiast to help us take our channels to the next level.
What You’ll Do:
* Come to our shop for a quick, fun 2-hour filming session once or twice a month.
* Capture active dogs playing, satisfying grooming ASMR (suds, brushing, clipping), and dramatic "Before & After" transformations.
* Edit clips into highly engaging, trendy Reels/TikToks with upbeat audio.
Requirements:
* Must absolutely love dogs and be comfortable working around them!
* Own a smartphone with a great camera (or DSLR) and basic editing skills (CapCut, VN, etc.).
* Reliable transportation to the 77018 area.

Enjoy Phoebe flopping around in rain boots in Petco! I swear I need to design some. None of them fit her properly. We wound up with Pawz, which I swear are just a really thick latex ballon. They work, kind of- at least for now!
