is an all-breed, non-profit 501(c)(3), canine rescue organization established in February 2012. Many of our core volunteers bring along years of experience from serving other Houston rescue groups. As of December 31, 2021 we have homed and re-homed over 8896 dogs and 500 cats! Our volunteers are compassionate, companion animal welfare advocates dedicated to contributing their time, skills, finance

s, and experience. In turn, their dedication helps save the lives of the abandoned, abused, homeless, neglected, orphaned, rejected, stray, and surrendered dogs in Houston's animal control facilities. We are committed to rescuing and re-homing these dogs regardless of their breed or circumstance. We are motivated by the dire need to educate the public about the effects of irresponsible breeding practices, while helping the community by alleviating overcrowding in area shelters. K-9 Angels Rescue Board Members and Volunteers are 100% VOLUNTEER and receive NO compensation. We are not a shelter in the sense that we are not positioned to accept dogs from the public. We personally select our dogs from the greater Houston animal control facilities where healthy, adoptable dogs are destroyed every day simply because they have no home, no family, to call their own. A dog selected into our rescue program remains in our care until adopted. Only when we are able to secure the best match between dog and new caregiver(s) is the dog released from our program. A foster home provides the dog with a loving, safe environment and allows for behavioral observations & modifications, and training. Fostering creates the opportunity to see how the dog interacts with human family members and furry family members. When a foster family is not available our dogs are kenneled until transported to our Adoption Center on Saturday morning

MARV HAS AN UPDATED BIO AND PICS TO SHARE!

Meet Marv, Harry’s equally handsome brother and the sleek counterpart to his fluffier sibling. At just over 3 months old and around 30 pounds, this half Great Pyrenees pup is also going to be a big boy, but with a slick, smooth coat instead of the fluffy look. Marv is all about playtime first, photos later—he’d much rather be wrestling with his brother, romping with his foster Basset siblings, or exploring the yard than posing for the camera. One thing you will notice immediately, though, are his absolutely stunning gray eyes—truly unforgettable.

Marv is incredibly intelligent and easygoing, picking up the doggy door faster than anyone expected. He’s doing great with potty training, learning to crate train, and settles nicely when it’s time to relax. Just like his brother, Marv is both playful and cuddly, with a calm, chill temperament that makes him a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, smart, affectionate pup with movie-star eyes, Marv might just be your perfect match. 🐾💙

Check out Harry’s adorable new photos (he learned he loves taking selfies! 😂) and updated bio!

Meet Harry, the fluffier half of an adorable brother duo and a total heart-throb. At just over 3 months old and already around 30 pounds, this half Great Pyrenees pup is going to be a big, handsome boy. Harry is cheerful, playful, and absolutely loves wrestling with his brother Mar and hanging out with his two foster Basset siblings. He’s got a fun personality, has fully discovered the magic of selfies, and is 100% a ham for the camera.

Harry is also a smart little guy who’s doing great in his foster home. He’s learned the doggy door, goes potty outside, and is making excellent progress with crate training. When playtime is over, he’s all about the cuddles—sweet, loving, and happy to be by your side! 🐾💙

MEET CHARLIE!

Charlie here! Let’s cut to the chase. I know I’m adorable, cuddly, sweet as pie. But what are you? Like are you worthy of my sweet, loyal bundle of joy? Ok fine, I’ll go first, but then you have to tell me about you. I’m Charlie. Revlon has a perfume named Charlie...their motto is "The world belongs to Charlie!" and I couldn't agree more. I’m a youthful girl on the go and love to play. Not very vocal or maybe I have not found my voice yet. When I am not playing with my foster sister I love to cuddle with my foster dad. I just love to cuddle! Also, I know the difference between my toys and your furniture. See how smart I am? Give me a treat and I will sit like a fashion model for you. I am working on my crate training and 70% on my potty training.

I can sleep in your bed all night, in my crate or on your couch. I love to cuddle and will follow you all over the house, whatever you wanna do, I wanna do! Wherever you wanna be, I wanna be! Did I mention I love to cuddle? I love all dogs big and small, I have a medium foster sister, but she doesn't scare me at all. I love people big and small too, biting is not my jam. I have not met a cat yet, we shall see. Ugh, writing this is exhausting me, can we go home and cuddle now?

MEET FAITH!

Faith is a fluffy, sweet and playful puppy who’s ready to find her forever home. She has already started potty training and is doing great learning new routines. Faith loves following her mom around and joining in on daily activities—she’s very curious and loves being involved!

She’s highly treat-motivated and will sit patiently while waiting for her reward. Faith enjoys playing with just about everything, but her favorite toy is her rubber ball. When playtime is over, she’s all about cuddles—she loves hugs and being around people. Faith is a loving, fun companion who will bring lots of joy and energy to her new family

Faith is a female Shepherd mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/20/25. As of 12/20, she weighs 8.4 lbs.

MEET SKYE!

Born on July 14, 2025, Skye is an adorable Chihuahua–Terrier mix with a gentle spirit, playful energy, and a whole lot of love to give. At just 5.5 lbs (as of 12/16), she’s a perfect little companion and can thrive in any size home, from apartments to houses.

Skye is sweet, smart, and very people-oriented—she loves following her humans around and being part of whatever you’re doing. She enjoys fetch, tug-of-war, and toy time, and has a funny habit of hiding her toys in silly places. When it’s time to rest, she loves relaxing in her dog bed, sleeping on her back, or settling into her crate for a cozy nap.

She is pee-pad trained and mostly house-trained, very food-motivated, and picks up new things quickly—making her easy and fun to train. Skye has a healthy appetite (she loves food!) and especially enjoys bones, which are perfect while she’s teething.

Skye does wonderfully with other dogs and has a playful yet gentle approach, respecting older dogs and their space. While she hasn’t been around cats yet, her calm and respectful nature suggests she’d likely do well with them too.

Skye would thrive in a home that has time to play with her, continue her training, and give her lots of love and affection. In return, she’ll be a loyal, cuddly, and endlessly charming best friend.

ZIGGY IS SO EXCITED TO MEET EVERYONE AT OUR ADOPTION EVENT TOMORROW!

Ziggy has been with us since he was a small puppy. Let’s make his wish come true and get him home for the holidays ♥️

Are you looking to get a jump start on your fitness goals for 2026? Or maybe you’d just like a reason to get out more. Ziggy would love to help you out. He's a higher energy guy, with a talent for finding entertainment anywhere. Ziggy thrives on adventure, like trips to the dog park, doggie daycare, or long walks on the beach (or anywhere else really). He LOVES water, whether it's swimming at the dog park, cooling off in his kiddie pool, attacking the sprinkler or saving you from pesky raindrops. When he's not out on an adventure, he enjoys wrestling with his furry foster brother or playing with toys and bones. Ziggy would do best in an active home with another playful dog. While he has attended training and done well, he is still a work in progress and would do best in a home without small children. Ziggy never misses a meal or treat. He's also fully potty trained and crate trained, sleeping soundly through the night.

FOSTERS STILL NEEDED!

Clarice was lucky enough to go to a foster home yesterday, but Blitzie, Hermey, and Merrit are still waiting! They are currently stuck alone at our adoption center ☹️

❄️Blitzie and Hermey were saved from roaming at an apartment complex and they deserve to know the comforts of a home.

💚Merrit needs a new foster with no small animals (no small dogs, no cats, etc.). He loves bigger dogs and wants alllll the belly rubs!
