We just took in four five-month-old puppies suffering from one of the most 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 cases of demodectic mange our team has ever seen. 💔
Their skin is raw, inflamed, and bleeding. Most of their fur is gone, one puppy can barely open her eyes, and all four arrived weak, exhausted, and in visible pain after suffering for far too long.

𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲! 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆. Now begins the long road to healing. Recovery from mange this severe takes time, intensive medical care, and patience, but with proper treatment, healing is absolutely possible.

𝗔 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱. You can help ease their pain, support their healing, and give them the chance to grow into healthy, happy dogs who finally know comfort and love.

Through our Houston Pets Alive! rescue program and our Adopt Together partnership with , 35 pets find their forever families this week.💙

We are so incredibly happy for everyone who chose to adopt and for all the animals who are starting this next chapter in their lives.

Our most urgent needs right now:

▪️ Paper towels
▪️ Kitten Wet Pate (always in need)
▪️ Cleaning supplies: OdoBan, Clorox Disinfecting Wet Wipes & Wet Mop Wipes

Shiloh was one of the very first dogs we welcomed from an out-of-state shelter. One of our incredible fosters stepped up to take her in and what started as temporary turned into forever. 💙

These happy endings are exactly why we do what we do. 👏
