🍟🐾 It’s National Junk Food Day… and no, we’re not sharing. 😎🐶 We may have short legs, but our snack game is tall and mighty.

Fries? Claimed. Donuts? Already licked. Pizza crust? You weren’t gonna eat that anyway. 🙄

Bassets don’t beg—we judge. Snack responsibly… or at least give us a bite.

Happy Tails Sweet Daisy. This lucky girl hit the quadruple F Jackpot! Her Freedom ride to her Foster home that became a Foster fail right into her FOREVER Family's heart. Daisy is living her best life. Happy life Daisy! 🐾❤️🐾❤️

We had such a pawsome time at the Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas Meet & Greet this past Saturday, June 14, at Mel's Country Cafe! 🐾🐶

A big thanks to Natasha and her beautiful Basset girl, CoCo, for coming out to meet the crew—it was a real treat having you both there! ❤️ And of course, it was a joy to get some love from our favorite long-eared friends: Bart, Loki, Clancy, and Ollie. So many belly rubs and wagging tails!

Just a reminder: the monthly meet & greets will be taking a summer break in July and August ☀️😎 but we’ll be back in action on Saturday, September 13—mark those calendars now!

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make it a special day for our Bassets and their humans. See y’all in the fall! 🐾💕

Basset Buddies is at Mel’s for the monthly meet and greet. We will be here until 2 pm. Come out and give some belly rubs to Ollie, Clancy and the other Basset Hounds. While you’re here enjoy a famous Mel’s burger or delicious catfish.

Barkley, Belanna, and Hannah were rescued separately by Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas — each facing serious challenges like heartworms, malnourishment, eye issues, lack of socialization, and more. 💔
With love, care, and time from our amazing fosters, they healed — and today, they’re thriving in their homes with daily walks, cozy beds, and endless cuddles. 🏡❤️
