🌈🐾 FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS, ALWAYS BY OUR SIDE 🐾🌈

Today, October 27, we honor a beautiful tradition that celebrates the return of our beloved pets’ spirits for one special night. ❤️

At Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas, we remember the hounds who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The ones we rescued, the ones we loved, the ones we lost too soon, and the ones who finally knew what it meant to be safe, cherished, and home.

We remember their floppy ears, soulful eyes, wagging tails, and those unforgettable Basset personalities. 🐶💕

Some came into our lives for years, others for only a little while. But every hound left paw prints that time can never erase.

🌈 Love doesn’t end when a heartbeat stops. It lives on in every beautiful memory.

Tonight, we imagine heaven filled with happy hounds, wagging tails, and the sweetest reunions. ❤️

Today is a special day for Bosley! It’s his 2nd gotcha day. We adopted him after he was rescued from Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas. He has brought so much love, cuddles and spirit to our home. Remember, rescue is the way to go! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

At Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas, we believe every Basset Hound deserves a life filled with love, comfort, and compassionate care — no matter their age or medical challenges. ❤️

Some of the precious hounds who come into our rescue have significant medical needs or age-related conditions that make traditional adoption difficult. These special dogs become part of our Sanctuary Hound Program, where they remain in the loving care of their foster families.

🏡 They may never find a traditional forever home, but they have found their forever family with Basset Buddies.

Our dedicated fosters provide the love, companionship, and comfort these hounds deserve, while Basset Buddies continues to support their veterinary care and medical needs.

🩺 From medications and specialized treatments to ongoing veterinary visits, the expenses can add up quickly. But their comfort and quality of life are worth every penny!

🐾 SENIOR SWEETHEART SEEKING HIS FOREVER HOME 🐾

Meet Walter, a sweet and loving 8-year-old Basset Hound who is looking for a very special person to love him for the rest of his life. ❤️

Walter absolutely loves being with his people. Because he has separation anxiety, his ideal pawrent would be someone who is retired, works from home, or is home most of the time. When his people leave, Walter isn't shy about expressing his feelings—and like any good Basset, he can be VERY verbal about it! 📣🐶 For that reason, Walter needs a single-family home, where his Basset commentary won't disturb close neighbors.

Walter also needs at least one other dog in the home to keep him company and help him feel secure.

At 8 years young, Walter isn't asking for much. He just wants companionship, security, and someone who will be there to love him for the rest of his life. In return, you'll have the devotion and affection of one very special Basset boy. ❤️
