Let’s talk heatstroke in pups☀️☀️

Heatsroke is a serious condition where a dog’s body temperature rises to dangerous levels🌡️

Certain breeds are more susceptible: Brachycephalic breeds (short-nosed dogs like bulldogs and pugs).
Also, our fur friends with thick coats are more prone to heatstroke.🥵🥵
With more heat advisories everyday, here are some signs to look watch out for if your fur friend comes back in from outside and doesn’t look their best:
⭐️Continuous panting
⭐️Dark red or pale gums
⭐️Increase salivation or thick sticky saliva
⭐️Vomiting
⭐️Diarrhea
⭐️Dizziness, weakness, or collapse
⭐️Increased heart rate
⭐️Muscle tremors
Heatstroke IS an emergency. Don’t hesitate when you see the signs. We are here to help!
