Dear clients,

Today we were made aware of a large recall from Wedgewood pharmacy for compounded veterinary medications that had been ordered and shipped between February 18th, 2026 - October 6th, 2026. Wedgewood will be reaching out to customers that purchased directly through their pharmacy and Vetsource, our online pharmacy, will be contacting you if you had purchased through our online pharmacy - we do not carry their products in our hospital. If your home has any compounded medications from Wedgewood, please see the websites below for further information and instructions. You will need your medication’s lot number to enter in to see if it is included in their recall. Please contact us if you have any questions or medical concerns and we will do our best with the information we have! Thank you for trusting us with your pet’s care!

The American Veterinary Medical Association recognizes October as national Pet Wellness Month.
Pet wellness is not just about treating illness when it strikes, but helping to prevent problems before they start. Preventative care includes regular veterinary visits, doing recommended vaccinations, dental care, nutrition, exercise, keeping up to date on heartworm and flea tick prevention, and more.
We are always happy to chat about what you can do to help keep your pet happy and healthy!

Oliver was the best boy for his bandage removal today! He was even patient enough to let us get pictures of his rain tousled hair ☺️❤️

This September, we are recognizing pet pain awareness month. While acute pain can be more obvious and distressing, chronic pain can be subtle and often times marked as “getting older”. While age brings with it some added difficulties, it does not mean we cannot help our pets feel comfortable in their golden years. For all our senior pets, we recommend bi-annual wellness examinations to help monitor these subtle changes. Call our office if you are ever having concerns - our staff is here to help!
