Holt Animal Clinic is looking to add another full-time team member to our staff. We are looking for an independent, hard-working, dependable individual with the ability to perform a wide array of duties in support of the success of our clinic, while learning new things quickly. Applicants must be available to work 8:00am - 5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and EVERY Saturday from 8:00am – 1:00pm.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1+ years working in Veterinary office
- Comfortable working around all kinds of animals
- The ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced
environment.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign in process which can include confirming the reason for the appointment, weighing pets and escorting the client to the exam room with their pet.
- Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology and pet behavior.
- Assist in cleanliness and maintenance of the hospital to ensure a great client experience.
- Provide assistance to our Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarian.
- Perform daily cleaning of kennels, cages and public areas when necessary.
- Display animal-handling skills safely and humanely.
- Responsible for filling prescriptions written by Veterinarian.
- Preform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Provide compassionate care and a home-away-from-home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
