This pretty girl is Skye. She is a registered Dexter, Heterozygous polled, with the A2A2 milk gene. Skye is such a sweetheart. She is completely halter broke and has been milked. With a little refreshing she will become a great family milk cow. Last year she gave us a wonderful, friendly heifer we are keeping. Skye is very calm and easy going. Our decomposing woodchips look pretty cool in the morning light! This steam appears when there is a drastic difference between the temperature inside the piles and the outside air. We will use this rich, composted mulch to prepare our garden for next spring. We can already almost taste those fresh, cherry tomatoes and juicy watermelons!😋

You guessed it... more puppy pictures! The photographer wasn't happy with our rushed pictures Monday, so we redeemed ourselves with leaves and pumpkins this time. There are only five of these cuties still available for reservation! Hello everybody! We are excited to share our newest English Shepherd litter with you. There are 3 boys and 7 girls who were born 9-16-21. They are starting to develop personalities and we are ready to help their future families start deciding which puppy will suit their family best! They are purebred and will be registered like their parents. Send us a message if you would like more info on one of these cuties!

Hey everybody! These girls are Kiko/Nubian crosses. They are from this spring and are about 5 months old. They are well-tempered and friendly and will be a great additon to a future breeding program. Our herd is raised strictly natural, they are de-wormed with coconut oil, a proven, holistic method. No hormones or anti-biotics in these girls. They are taught to forage daily and are supplemented with alfalfa hay when necessary. We are located near Holdenville, OK. PM for more info on one of these girls!

We have a Belted Galloway cow calf pair. The calf is a bull, about 6 weeks old, the cow is around three. She is a good momma, providing plenty of milk and the calf is thriving! Momma has been a part of our no hormone, no antibiotic, 100% grass fed program and has done very well! We are just reducing our herd numbers. PM for more info! Located near Holdenville, OK.

The chicks are 2 weeks old now! They are being acclimated to being outside of the brooder and are doing very well. We have lots of barred rock, welsummer, s*x link and more! PM for info.

Hoyt has taken it upon himself to trek twice daily down to the pasture to feed this little guy. His momma doesn't produce enough so we are supplementing his milk supply. She is now on the cull list since we breed for healthy, independent Dams. Hoyt has named him Bambi. He comes quickly whenever he sees the boy with the bottle!😉 It's adorable.

Hey everybody! It is pouring rain here at the farm today. But luckily we were able to photograph these fluffy little subjects yesterday!🐥 We have twenty-two of these guys hatched out and ready for their new brooders. They are all 4-5 days old now. They are from a free ranging, heritage mix flock. PM for more info on them!

*Also, we will have more chicks soon, and possibly some turkey poults!

Hey everybody come check out our COW SALE! As some of you know, we've been busy lately, moving our operation down south. Now that we've gotten "somewhat" settled, we are looking at our livestock arrangements. Our pasture is more directed towards goats so we are looking to balance our goat/cattle ratio better. So we are reducing our cattle herd! Below are photos of the heifers, steers and young bull. Look at the number on the right of their photo and PM us for more info on a specific one!

All cattle have been grass fed only, no shots, hormones or antibiotics.

*Also, coming up soon we will have cow/calf pairs available!

Anybody need a companion donkey? She has been nicknamed "pretty girl"😊. She is timid towards people but once she gets to know you she will come up and eat out of your hand. We think she is somewhere between 5-7 years old. She has a sweet face and likewise personality! Message for more info.

Our newest adventure on the farm! We just bought ten of these guys... or girls, it's a guessing game right now. Good news for these guys... they actually aren't here for Thanksgiving dinner! We are still holding out for butchering one of our farm raised pigs to celebrate the holdiay. These guys are here for the eggs, and hopefully to hatch some chicks out next year.

Hey guys! All of our purebred English shepherd puppies have been reserved but feel free to enjoy these weekly doses of cuteness! They are six weeks old today. We ventured a little ways into the pasture today to get our pictures and wasn't that an adventure! We had a first meeting with Promise the Dexter calf (bonus pic in the post). Little Charles was chosen by the first deposit and so these sweet little girls will be next. Description attatched to pictures!

Yep... you guessed it, Another puppy post! These purebred ES pups are just over five weeks old and showing personality now. Wolfing down their puppy food and coming when called, they are so cute! Many of them are showing great shadowing capabilities and are all very friendly. They will be six weeks old next Tuesday and we will begin choosing a puppy in order of deposits!

Update on the registered English shepherd litter! Today marks the Little House litter's week four! They are growing fast. They are beginning to get personalities... we've got the escapee that never stays in the whelping box, the noisy one and the people loving girl. They are so much fun! They are just getting to spend a couple warm hours outside and are loving that. Four more weeks until these adorable babies are ready to go home with their new families! -Individual description on each picture-

There is a little bit of pride here in the Buckminster house today as we mill our own home grown corn! We plan on making some homemade corn bread this evening. Hoyt enjoyed cranking the mill and we actually got a smile out of him!😊The majority of this harvest is going to seeding next years corn but we will enjoy the early (even if small) fruits of our labor!

We decided to name this year the Little house Litter (After our favorite family show) and our pups accordingly! In honor of that we took our first individuals out in the "prairie"😉The pups are just opening their eyes and are the cutest little things! We have six females and one male. We have two deposits reserving first two pups but still have five reservation spots available.

Good morning everybody! The dew on the farm this morning was beautiful. I thought it looked like a light dusting of snow! But that may be because we are all excited for fall and winter. Not for the ice breaking in the troughs necessarily but for woodstove fires and hot chocolate when we finish chilly chores. Also, look out... more adorable puppy pictures will be uploaded later today!

The puppies have arrived! This past Tuesday Sammy our registered English shepherd gave us 7 healthy puppies. Sam is being a wonderful mother and the puppies are thriving. We had a blast with these sleepy puppies and their photo shoot, they are adorable!
