Happy First Day of Spring! The warmer weather and longer days make this the perfect time of year to get your furry friends ready for all the outdoor adventures ahead.

As your pet starts spending more time outside, remember to:

✔️ Make sure they have been spayed or neutered.
✔️ Ensure they are up-to-date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
✔️ Check for any critters or foxtails stuck in their fur after hikes
✔️ Make sure their ID tags and microchip info is current
✔️ Watch for signs of allergies like itching, scratching, or hot spots
✔️ Slowly reintroduce them to more activity after a lazier winter

Spring is also an ideal time to bring your pet in for their annual wellness exam! We'll give them a good spring check-up to ensure they're ready for all that spring has in store.

Call us today to schedule your pet's appointment. Let's welcome this new season with a healthy, happy fur baby!

Parvovirus is one of the most fatal diseases a dog can contract and it's highly contagious. That's our focus as we talked with veterinarian Dr. Rebekah Hartfield about what the disease is and the symptoms.

Hey pet parents! 🐾 Let's chat about keeping our fur babies safe and sound during the holidays. Dr. Hartfield has some simple tips:

Keep the feast on the table: Watch out for well-meaning kids offering treats and avoid pancreatitis risks from fatty foods

Bones are a no-go: Turkey or chicken bones can lead to emergency vet trips. Keep them out of reach!

Go for healthy treats: Treat your pets with apples and peanut butter (just make sure it's xylitol-free).

Signs to watch: Keep an eye out for behavior changes, vomiting, or diarrhea – signs something might be amiss.

Let's make this holiday season merry and safe for our four-legged pals! 🐾
