🐾 A Little Update From Kat… ❤️

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted an update, and lately I feel like I’m wearing more hats than ever. 😂

Business owner. Groomer. Student. Mom. Wife. And somewhere in between all of that, still chasing one very big dream. 🩺🎓

I’m still running Kat’s Professional Grooming, still behind the table doing what I’ve loved for nearly 30 years, and still working my way through school toward earning my DVM.

And now, I’ve been incredibly blessed with the opportunity to work and learn alongside a wonderful, amazing team of veterinary professionals. ❤️

Getting to learn from people who have already walked the road I’m working so hard toward, ask questions, gain hands-on experience, and see another side of animal care has made me even more excited about where this journey is taking me.

Some days that means going from the salon, to studying, to veterinary medicine, and then coming home to study some more. 😂☕️

Is my plate full? Absolutely.

But every hat I’m wearing right now represents something I’ve worked incredibly hard for.

And just so my KPG families know — the salon isn’t going anywhere. 🐾❤️ I’m still here, still grooming, still running the business, and still devoted to the pets and families who have trusted us for so many years.

I’m just growing, learning, and adding another chapter to a life that has always revolved around animals.

I’m tired sometimes. 😂
I’m busy ALL the time.

But more than anything, I’m grateful.

One class at a time.
One lesson at a time.
One animal at a time.

The dream is still Dr. Mock. 🩺🐾🎓

And I’m getting there. ❤️

✨ Why We Do Things Differently at Kat’s Professional Grooming ✨

Every grooming salon has its own philosophy. Here’s ours.

At Kat’s Professional Grooming, our priority has always been quality, safety, and building trust with every pet that walks through our doors.

🐾 We don’t allow unnecessary pet-to-pet interaction because the health and safety of every dog matters. Keeping pets separated helps reduce stress and minimizes the risk of spreading parasites, skin conditions, and other contagious issues.

🏡 We don’t use traditional cages. Our guests relax in spacious, customized comfort condos designed to provide a calm, clean, and comfortable environment while they wait.

🩺 Every groom includes more than just a haircut. We take the time to perform a hands-on wellness check, looking for anything that may need your attention, including changes to the skin, ears, eyes, nails, paw pads, a**l glands (when requested or appropriate), coat condition, lumps, bumps, irritation, or anything unusual that we feel you should discuss with your veterinarian.

🛁 We believe every pet deserves a thorough bath, proper drying, careful brushing, de-shedding or de-matting when appropriate, and a groom that is never rushed. We know every dog is different, and some simply need a little extra patience, reassurance, cuddles, and breaks along the way.

❤️ Our appointments aren’t about racing the clock. They’re about earning trust, creating positive experiences, and sending your family member home looking and feeling their absolute best.

For us, our clients have never been “appointments.” They’re family.
