For nearly 30 years, my life has been dedicated to the care, comfort, and well-being of animals. What started as a passion for grooming became a lifelong commitment to understanding every aspect of animal health, behavior, skin, coat, safety, and wellness.

As a Master Groomer, Certified Pet Aesthetician, and salon owner, I’ve spent decades working hands-on with thousands of pets — learning to recognize not only beauty, but also the early signs of discomfort, stress, illness, and change.

Now, while continuing to run a successful business, I’ve taken the next step in my journey by pursuing both veterinary medicine and veterinary technician education. Many people ask why I would choose both paths, and the answer is simple: because I believe the strongest foundation is built from the ground up.

I never want to stop learning when it comes to the animals entrusted to my care. My goal is not only to help pets look and feel their best, but to deepen my ability to support their health, advocate for prevention, recognize warning signs earlier, and ultimately help save lives through education, compassion, and lifelong dedication.

This journey has never been about titles.
It has always been about the animals. 🐾

For thousands of years, dogs evolved from wolves through adaptation and survival. 🐺➡️🐶 Over time, humans began selectively breeding dogs for specific traits — temperament, coat type, color, size, and working ability.

The beautiful Golden Retriever we know today is a perfect example of artificial selection. Their thick, luxurious double coats were intentionally bred for retrieving in cold water and harsh outdoor conditions. While gorgeous, those dense coats can also trap moisture, dander, yeast, bacteria, and environmental allergens against the skin.

As groomers, we often see how selective breeding affects skin and coat health. Thick-coated breeds like Golden Retrievers are especially prone to:
• Hot spots
• Yeast buildup
• Undercoat compaction
• Moisture retention
• Seasonal/environmental allergies
• Skin irritation and infection

Regular professional grooming isn’t just cosmetic for these breeds — it plays a major role in skin health, airflow, coat maintenance, and comfort. Proper de-shedding, coat maintenance, and skin monitoring can help catch problems early and keep these beautiful dogs healthy from the skin outward. ✨🐾
