IMPORTANT message for drop off/pick up tomorrow Thursday, August 28th!!!

The building’s parking lot is getting repaved tomorrow, (and maybe into Friday… but we hope not!) so there will be no access to the front door or parking in our parking lot.

Please park on the side road where you would normally go into SDC parking lot, and park in front of the white fence near the gate and call us at (781) 749-1094 and we will have someone come out and get your dog for you.

We are hoping the front door will be able to be used by late afternoon pick ups, but we aren’t sure. Fingers crossed. But if it’s not, please park on the same side street and call us and we will bring your dog out to you.

We really appreciate your patience and cooperation (we will try to be as quick as possible, but it might take a little longer if multiple dogs are getting dropped off/picked up at one time) while we try to get through this! 😣

ATTENTION SHIPYARD CREW! ⚠️ It’s that time of year again where kennel cough finds its way around doggy daycares! To keep all of your pups happy and healthy, we ask that you DO NOT bring your dog to take advantage of our services if they have a cough, big or small. Kennel cough is extremely contagious, and we want to make sure we stay ahead of it! Our staff are all trained to properly and effectively sanitize areas that may have been exposed to kennel cough, but it is hard to contain if you bring your pup who is coughing without our knowledge.

If our staff notices that your pup has a cough, we MUST seperate them from the group immediately, and they will stay isolated until you are able to come pick them up. Your pup may only return once they are symptom free for 10 days after finishing their antibiotics. We are enforcing a new rule this year that requires your dog to be picked up no later than 1 hour after we have contacted you. With this new rule, we ask that everyone is POSITIVE that you or someone you know will be able to come pick up your dog when needed. With that being said, please double check all of your emergency contacts before making any future reservations!

We like to think of SDC as a preschool, and the pups as the kids. If your kid is sick, you wouldn’t bring them to school or leave them with the nurse all day, so please apply the same principle to doggy daycare! Let’s all kick kennel cough in the butt, together ❤️ Thank you everyone!

Bessie was the very first dog I ever met at SDC when I bought exactly five years ago! She’s been my little “Shark” ever since that day, and I’m going to miss her so so much! I feel like there’s a big hole in my heart right now, but I’m so happy that you’re going to be able to enjoy a lot more of the sunbathing that you love!
