Check out this transformation 👀😍

This guy is just so handsome and I love working with him 🤍🤍🤍 he comes in every 6 weeks for a full groom and gets his breed cut (schnauzer).

He is so cooperative but very curious about what's going on at ReTreat ;)

Today was this gal's first time being groomed at ReTreat, though she has been on a regular 6 week groom schedule.

She was so sweet and cooperative 🫶 and came in needing a de-shed and tidy up.

As part of our groom packages, she got a full skin assessment and I found some abnormalities I discussed at pick up with her owner. He is taking her to the vet to follow up on them 🧡

It means so much to me that owners value what I discuss with them and take it to heart. I'm here to help provide care to your fur babes and be a voice for them. 🥰

This handsome guy is just the happiest boy and such a lover 🥰 he brightens my day when he's in annnd he's so good on my table ❤️❤️❤️

He's still a puppy 🤯 but his owners keep up with his coat at home, which helps tremendously! (Both with his cooperation and coat condition ;) 🫶 And did I mention, he's soooooo soft! 😍

This golden girl was in for a tidy up groom. She had the longest locks 🧡 but her mom wanted her shortened up for summer ☀️

While she's double coated so I don't cut her top coat, I took her furnishings short and tighter to her body while giving her that golden silhouette 🥰👌

When we were done, her coat was literally glistening gold ✨ as the sun came in through my window.

She is just the sweetest soul and such a gem on my table! We love you Amber!

How adorable is this guy?!

He is a fairly new rescue and still a pup. Grooming is something new for him (as far as the owner knows), so he's learning to be brave and cooperative.

His mom likes his scruffy look, and so do I! 🫶
He gets a bath package and his paws cleaned up every 4-5 weeks.

If your dog likes the water, you may notice a "wet dog" smell after they get wet or swim.

That smell actually comes from microorganisms such as bacteria and yeast, that live in dogs' fur. When your dog gets wet, water breaks down the chemical bonds that hold them together in the fur and releases those musty molecules into the air.

To prevent the stink (and other issues ;)), proper DRYING is key! Towel drying alone isn't enough--even short haired dogs need more 👍
A high velocity (HV) dryers' warm air and force penetrates deep into the coat, helping dry the skin and tackle the source of the odor 💪
