Our first Tracking Club on Friday night was a blast! Thank you all for coming out.

There is something incredibly valuable about giving dogs the opportunity to move away from us, solve problems on their own, and trust their instincts. Tracking teaches independence, confidence, and clear-headed thinking in a way few activities can.

Hey Firefly friends!

It looks like we may have a little rain during tomorrow morning’s group walk. Right now, it appears to be light rain, so we’re still planning to meet as scheduled!

Just come prepared with a rain jacket, waterproof shoes or boots, and a positive attitude. A little weather won’t stop us from getting out with our dogs and enjoying some time together.

We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and update everyone if anything changes. See you in the morning@at 9am☔🐕‍🦺🐾

It’s this big guy’s second birthday today.

Valor is everything to me. He’s my second heart dog, one I never expected to have, but now can’t imagine life without. He’s been through more than most dogs ever should, and somehow found his way to me.

Through every challenge, he’s remained resilient, honest, and full of heart. Watching him grow into the dog he is today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Valor. I’m beyond grateful that you’re mine. Here’s to many more adventures together. 🖤

Working dogs can absolutely be house dogs too.

There’s a balance to it. Training has never just been about control to me. The bond has always come first. I want my dogs to want to work with me, not just feel forced to comply.

People are always surprised when I tell them my dogs sleep in crates sometimes, but they also sleep in the bed. It all depends on your goals, your lifestyle, and how you structure your relationship with your dog.

A dog can have clear boundaries, accountability, and high level training while still being deeply connected to their family.

Your training life and your home life do not have to be separate. The best working dogs are often the ones with the strongest relationship to their handler.

Today, we honor and remember the men and women who gave everything for this country. Because of their sacrifice, we are able to live the lives we do today.
