Wonder Whinnies registration is now for curious horse loving kids! Heart of Riding, LLC is branching out into the world of bringing horse training to the next generation! For the last 5 years, I've been dedicated to teaching folks how to be better riders. This sometimes involves not only teaching the rider, but also teaching the horse. Spring 2024 is turning out to be a big time of transition for
Heart of Riding. While I will still maintain as many of my riding clients as possible, I'm moving my base of operations away from Frederick and into my Highland location. It's smaller, and doesn't have as complete of a facility, but it's closer to home and will allow me to finally do what I have been thinking about for several years - teach kids how to train horses with reward based techniques! The location is well suited for this endeavor, and I have a great little team of people who are going to help. The horses love it, and I am hoping we can teach a new crop of horse lovers how to train horses using empathy and science, and no horse will need to experience pain or fear during training (or hopefully ever). Instead, they will look forward to the kids (and adults too) to learn and grow and have fun while we can.
