🎉🐾 MEET OUR CAT WINNER, LUCY! 🐾🎉

Lucy’s story started in a pretty unexpected way. ❤️

Back in the early summer of 2023, her family kept noticing a mysterious little visitor running around the neighborhood in Griffith. For months, they weren’t quite sure what they were seeing… until one day they spotted her sleeping underneath a bush.

And there she was — a beautiful Persian cat! 😻

After posting her photo in a lost-and-found group, they eventually learned that Lucy had previously lived nearby but had been left behind when her owner moved.

So Lucy’s future family stepped in. 💕

They trapped her safely and quickly discovered that she wasn’t feeling well. A veterinary visit revealed a painful urinary tract infection and bladder crystals that needed treatment. Once Lucy received the care she needed, she recovered beautifully — and her sweet personality really began to shine.

And just like that, the little cat sleeping under the bush had officially found her home. 🏡🐾

Her original name was Lucy, and it seemed only right to keep it!

These days, Lucy has things figured out. 😂

🐾 Favorite treats: Milk-flavored Temptations
💕 Favorite activity: Being close to her people
🪮 Favorite attention: Brushing and scratches
🛁 Special treat: Her “spa days” right here at Hydrant!

Lucy is estimated to be around 6–7 years old and is now one very loved, very spoiled girl — exactly as she should be. ❤️

🎉🐾 MEET OUR WINNER, LUCKY! 🐾🎉

At just 10 months old, Lucky already has plenty of personality — and apparently some pretty impressive toy-holding skills. 😂

Lucky is 70% Australian Shepherd, 20% Pittie, with a little Collie, German Shepherd and Chow Chow mixed in for good measure. Basically… 100% adorable. ❤️

🎾 Favorite activity: Fetch
🦴 Favorite treat: Pupford training treats
🐶 Favorite pastime: Making new human AND animal friends
😂 Funniest habit: Lying on his back while holding his toys in his front paws so he can chew on them!

But Lucky’s story gets even sweeter. ❤️

His family had been without a dog for a year after losing their previous pup. Then they met Lucky — and it was pretty much love at first sight. They knew right away he was meant to be part of their family and help fill that missing piece in their hearts.

We’d say his name fits him pretty well… because Lucky found himself a pretty wonderful family. 🥰🐾

🐾 Anything stuck between the toes
🐾 Redness or irritation

Regular paw checks are a simple way to stay on top of your pet’s comfort and catch little issues early.

When the house suddenly gets quieter during the day, a few simple things can help keep pets happy and occupied:

🎾 Add a favorite enrichment toy or puzzle
🐕 Keep walks and mealtimes as consistent as possible
🦴 Offer a safe chew or special treat before you leave
❤️ Make time for a little extra attention when everyone gets home

Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.

A grooming appointment is about more than looking cute. ❤️

Regular grooming can help keep your pet comfortable while giving our groomers a chance to notice things pet parents might not see every day — like changes in the skin, coat, ears, nails or paws.

And yes… leaving Hydrant looking absolutely adorable is a pretty great bonus. 🐶✨
