📸 Baby Toby had his first puppy class!

He was so brave and is super smart! ❤️ This little guy is already learning fast and making us proud.

Toby is a sweet, sensitive pup who’s already started puppy classes—an excellent head start for his future family!
Toby loves going to daycar, where he’s blossoming socially, and his leash skills are coming along nicely thanks to daily walks to and from daycare. He follows his buddy Atlas with trust and growing confidence. 🐕‍🦺🐾
He’s great with dogs, good with cats, and gently warms up to new people. Toby’s making quick progress and needs a patient person to help him see the good in the world.
Adopting a pup like Toby means skipping some of the hard first steps—he’s already on his way! 💛

Remus showing off his focus skills—eyes on the prize and ready to work (or play fetch)! 🎯🎾

Our volunteers love working with this guy in training classes—and it’s easy to see why! Remus is a rockstar pup who’s graduated Puppy Class and passed the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test! 🌟

He’s got amazing focus, loves fetch and water play, is great with other dogs, rides like a pro, and is crate and leash trained. Remus is the full package and ready for his forever home! 💙

Remus is 11 months old.

Help Crew Fight for More Time 💔
Crew’s story is one of resilience, but now he needs your help. This sweet Border Collie was relinquished to a shelter simply for chasing calves. He had spent his life on a cattle farm—his doghouse was literally in the cow lot. He was always underweight and a picky eater but never acted sick—just a happy, playful, energetic dog.
At one of his annual vet visits, he had lost 2 pounds. The following year, another 2 pounds. That’s when we decided to dig deeper. What started as a simple check-up turned into a devastating discovery—fibrosis of the bone marrow. This rare, incurable condition often leads to non-regenerative anemia and, eventually, transfusion dependence. We ran every test possible, ruling out everything else. One potential cause? Exposure to large animal dewormers, given his time living among cattle.
Crew is now on Prednisone, which has increased his appetite and helped him gain weight—he’s up from 33 lbs to 39 lbs! But there is no cure. All we can do is manage his condition, make sure he’s happy and comfortable, and cherish every moment we have left.
His medical expenses so far have reached $5,000, and he still needs another CBC next week and ongoing care. We need your support to continue his care and give him the best life possible for as long as we can. If you can help, even just a little, it would mean the world to Crew.
💙 Share Crew’s story to spread the word!
Thank you for being part of Crew’s journey. Let’s rally around this amazing boy and show him just how loved he is. 🐾💙
Thank you for your support 😀

Meet Leo!!

Leo is a very affectionate dog who enjoys cuddling and being around his foster parents. He loves going for walks and likes to meet other dogs and people, but he is guarded with them up close. He likes car rides. He becomes so enthusiastic about walk-time that he attempts to put on his harness himself and jumps to retrieve the leash from its hook.

Though it was a challenge initially, Leo and our dog have become friends and now follow each other everywhere. Leo has many puppy-like qualities and gets very excited when children run and play, so he would be best suited to a home with older children. Leo is progressing well with his manners for a dog that was found abandoned in a crate. He responds well to commands such as "sit" and "down" and performs adequately on recalls. Along with learning to wait at the door before going outside, he is being trained to go in his crate. Treats prove to be highly motivating for him. Further training will be needed by his new owner.

He is very well-behaved in the house and the backyard. He likes to play with his toys in the fenced backyard but is content to sit and watch everything around him.

Leo would thrive in a household with another dog but is incompatible with cats. We believe Leo is ready to find his permanent home.

Leo is being fostered in Marquette Heights, IL

Introducing Atlas!!

What a dog this girl is going to be!! She is a beautiful little smoothie 😍 Blue Merle, approximately 6 months of age. Definitely a performance prospect if you're looking for your next agility or obedience dog.....or whatever else you want to dabble in!! This girl will be up for anything!! She has been very friendly with people, excellent with other dogs. Crate trained, house trained, great in the car. She is new to rescue so I'll be learning more and more about her. She will be starting daycare this week so that means she'll be in the car daily and leash walked daily. Stay tuned for more updates on this little angel 😇 ❤️❤️❤️

Sweet, sweet Emmy 🥰

This girl is a sweetheart of a dog. 💕
She is sweet with people, dogs, and cats. She enjoyed playing at daycare daily, but once she started heartworm treatment, full-day playtime had to be paused. She has 1 more month of treatment, and then she will be ready to find her perfect forever home 🏡 She is such an easy girlie to live with... she'll easily fit into most homes. She is crate-trained and house-trained. She rides well in the car but has gotten motion sickness several times when riding on longer distances. She will need to be monitored around soft toys as she will chew them and consume them..... we had a little conversation about eating the fabric off a Kong Wubba toy and the conversation involved her having to drink peroxide and vomit up the fabric pieces....🤦‍♀️ So, indestructible toys would be a better option for her. She is allowed a blanket in her crate and has been okay with that. Emmy is such a little go-with-the-flow kind of dog. She will be an excellent addition to any dog-loving home 🏡 ❤️ She will be ready to start her new life mid-May!
