This was a friend’s dog. They are devastated and traumatized as one can only imagine. Their other dog, Ollie, can only wonder where his brother went. While there was no fence in this situation, a 6ft fences is nothing for a coyote. There are coyote deterrent dog harnesses, *see comments, but a leash (no retractable) is best. Stanley was a sweet boy and will be missed by all who loved him.

A small dog is presumed dead after it was taken by coyote from a yard to a wooded area in the north suburbs, local officials said.
