Loving Pet Project NC - LPPNC Our focus is providing financial aid for spay neuter. We are hoping to make even more of a difference in the community by going to the root of the problem.

We are dedicated to take back any pets who have been adopted from us over the years 2019 - LPIA is making some changes. We will be focusing on providing financial aid for spay neuter and medical needs, not on adoptions. We will take in the occasional pet in need if we have a foster home available. We are dedicated in taking back any pets who have been adopted from us over the years. LPIA rescues a

bandoned, breeder, puppy mill and shelter dogs, takes care of their veterinary and rehabilitation needs and adopts them to stable, loving homes where they are thought of as a beloved member of the family. We strive to find the best possible match for the pets in our care. We also promote and provide spay/neuter assistance to the community. Spay/neuter is the ONLY answer to the pet overpopulation problem.

A little spa day goes a long way for self-care for our newest arrivals, and is often just as important and the veterinary and therapeutic care they receive. Meet Celine (front) and her friend, Ryder, who joined us urgently needing both forms of TLC.

Original attempts to help Celine get cleaned up in the shelter were rocky as anxiety caused her heart rate to drop to unsafe levels. She’ll have a sedated groom today to help her stay calm while our team removes matting and gives her a long-overdue bath. And, in the meantime, we’re waiting for the results of Ryder’s echocardiogram to determine the next steps in his road to recovery.

We’ll have lots of additional items for sale, and every dollar raised will go directly toward helping Ryder, our newest rescue.

You never know what you’re going to get when you say “yes” to saving a life.

Ryder was found by a friend of Loving Pet Project NC sitting on the seat of a golf cart, desperately needing help. Nearly 5 pounds of matted hair had to be shaved from his tiny body. Since coming into rescue, he’s received his vaccinations, but we’ve also learned he’s heartworm positive and has a heart murmur.

He needed unexpected X-rays, specialized bloodwork to determine if it’s safe for him to undergo anesthesia for his neuter, and continued medical care. Those expenses add up fast.

Through it all, Ryder has been nothing but sweet. He’s discovering the joy of regular meals, soft beds, and the love and attention every dog deserves.
