A little spa day goes a long way for self-care for our newest arrivals, and is often just as important and the veterinary and therapeutic care they receive. Meet Celine (front) and her friend, Ryder, who joined us urgently needing both forms of TLC.
Original attempts to help Celine get cleaned up in the shelter were rocky as anxiety caused her heart rate to drop to unsafe levels. She’ll have a sedated groom today to help her stay calm while our team removes matting and gives her a long-overdue bath. And, in the meantime, we’re waiting for the results of Ryder’s echocardiogram to determine the next steps in his road to recovery.
Keep your paws crossed for these two, and if you can, consider a donation through our website to support their care. We’re happy they’re with us, and are committed to getting them on their way to the good life.
