I'm slowly improving these bracelets on this standard Poodle. She's so good for grooming, so practicing on her is so nice.

Isabel was prepped in Deep Cleansing Shampoo, Volume-Up Shampoo mixed with Love Me Long Shampoo, followed by Intense Coat Mask. The coat mask has done wonders for her coat too! Her coat has been kinda crunchy and dry lately. But the Intense Coat Mask has helped with hydrating and softening her coat without weighing it down. I also find it helps maintain her coat in between grooms. Her mom has mentioned how easy her coat is to brush out!

Make sure you are prepared for a weekend of fireworks for animals that are scared of them. Create a safe space for them, potty breaks before dark, give meds early enough, play music or TV a little louder than normal.

Buddy got a well needed deshed and a little neaten up to his back end, belly, and feet.

I used the "Close-Open-Close" method and used advice to use the velocity dryer for each step, yes even the shampoo step. I noticed a huge difference and had very little to brush out of Buddy. Also using high quality products such as makes a huge difference too. Good product and good technique/prep work makes your life so much easier and you'll produce better quality grooms!

Also having good quality equipment will help with your finished look. I used shears, combs, and brushes on every dog. On Buddy, I specifically used:

This little dog is Sweetie, and she has a special place in my heart. Her family started bringing her to me a little over a year or so ago. She was a rescue and she was a wonderful companion to a senior lady with dementia. Her mom was a lovely woman and very sweet, she even complimented my nails a few times lol A little while after she was adopted her owner (senior lady with dementia) passed away. She was thankfully kept by her owners daughter and husband. Whom are wonderful people too.

When Sweetie started coming to me I could not pick her up around her owner (senior lady) and even after she passed away. I could pick her up away from her family, but thats it. She was also not use to grooming, either. By this point she was already improving. Well skip to a year+ later, she runs to me when she arrives and I pick her up right next to her family! They tell me I'm one in a million cause she doesn't let many touch her. It makes me feel so good to know I have gained this babies trust and love.

Dogs like Sweetie are the reason why I love what I do. I want to make grooming as comfortable and enjoyable for these dogs as much as possible. Seeing them improve and learning to trust, its so rewarding. Side note: her dad said she's finally
