“Nitro” gave us a scare about 3 weeks ago. He got too hot and started having issues with coordination. Through a lot of meds, extra cooling tactics, and prayers he made it thru! 🙌 He lost some weight because of it and not wanting to eat much for a few days following. But I’m happy to say he’s back up to 95.6 pounds at almost 6 months old (next week). I love my boy. He’s sweet and so handsome! 🖤

Told yall you’d see Tripp & Hennessy again! They brought home Junior Champion Doe at the Junior Louisiana Goat Association Show today. They show again tomorrow! Congrats man, you are doing AWESOME!

Toying around with the idea of selling 2 percent does that have been exposed to Beamer. One is for sure confirmed bred via US. Black based does. Ill get pics later this week. They are smaller framed does, but produced nice babies this past year. Both young and full of life.

Sometimes a loss is just a loss. Sometimes it hits you hard, all the way to the core. Fade came to us 5 years ago and was the prettiest blonde headed doe I had ever seen. Bless her…she has had her fair share of problems in that 5 year span. All I wanted was a doeling out of her to keep it going. Last year she gave me that, but it was born breech, the cord snapped prematurely and she couldn’t be revived. She had a doeling the year before that had a hernia, and I stupidly sold her. So no babies of her lineage. Fade was my last tie to Babe. They were besties. Maybe now they are together. I’ll miss you Fade. ♥️

Let me introduce the other side of the farm. We don’t only have goats, but we also raise red angus cattle, and Australian Cattle Dogs. We have a herd of horses as well. These are our 40 head of first time heifers. Calving started off a little rough but they are popping like crazy now! We also sell USDA inspected beef.
