🐾 September is Animal Pain Awareness Month 🐾
Did you know that pets often hide their pain? Unlike us, they can’t tell us when something hurts, and many owners don’t realize that subtle changes in behavior may actually be their way of communicating discomfort.
- Dogs may limp, move more slowly, or become less playful—but that limp isn’t “just how they walk.” It’s often a clear sign of pain.
- Cats are even better at masking pain, often showing changes so small—like hiding more, grooming less, or avoiding jumping—that they’re easy to miss.
Because our pets are so good at hiding discomfort, regular checkups and prompt evaluations are key to keeping them happy and healthy. If you’ve noticed changes in your pet’s mobility, energy, or behavior, don’t wait—pain management can make a world of difference in their quality of life.
📅 This month, let’s spread awareness and look closer for the signs our pets may be trying to show us.
