We were so happy to welcome this Girl Scout Troop and help them earn their Horsemanship Badges! They learned all about grooming, communicating, and even got time in the saddle! It was some of their very first times around horses and it was so cool to watch their confidence grow as the day progressed! We dodged some rain drops but that often makes the best memories! Congrats on your badges, girls!

Today we completed CPR Certification and First Aid training with Jessica from Dynamite CPR & Medical Training. We are so thankful that she came to the ranch to teach us these lifesaving skills. Even everyone’s favorite barn cat took part (last pic!) so Cinnamon is ready for any medical emergency now!

Today didn’t go as planned. We were involved in an accident with one of our horse trailers on the way to the Franklin Rodeo parade, but Lexi, Morgan, Lou, Dunkin, Tito, and Honey all walked away with only a few scratches. Because God. Y’all. Because God. There is literally no other explanation.

We may have missed the parade, the trailer is totaled, and it was a scary reminder of how quick things can change but we are beyond thankful for God’s protection over our girls and their horses today. There is also not enough gratitude in the world for everyone that helped and how quickly everyone came together and jumped in for us. It is not lost on us that today could’ve gone much differently. We are so incredibly blessed.

Happy Derby Day!!! We loved celebrating with our friends at Stone Creek Memory Care! The joy on their faces is hard to put into words. There is something so powerful about the connection between people and horses; memories may fade but moments like these still shine through and we were blessed to be able to experience it with them.

Thank you to the staff for welcoming us and to the incredible residents for loving on the horses! Dunkin and Octavia sure loved being fed all those carrots!

We loved hosting this sweet group of preschool/homeschoolers this past weekend! Lots of hands-on learning, riding horses, getting dirty, and giving one of the barn cats the royal treatment of love and pets! These days make the best memories!
