Alright spring breakers this is for you. Of course this happened at one the of the busiest times for boarding and also when it doesn't look like a dry day in sight for a little bit to give us time to fix it.

Please be careful coming up the driveway. Hug the right side coming in and the left going out. This part of the driveway turns into a heavy stream anytime it rains. Once it dries up some we will be trying to find a solution to help fix this area.

I don't feel this should be necessary, but after the last 2 Sunday's of having ugly messages on the boarding phone and talking to people through the cameras while off the property, I guess it is.

Our weekend boarding drop off hours are Saturday morning from 7:30-9 a.m. and Sunday evening from 5-6 p.m. only. This does not mean your dog is not getting to go outside or cared for between those times, because they most definitely do. However this is how we give ourselves a "weekend" to do other stuff in between taking care of dogs. This also means that 99.9% of the time we are not going to be looking at the business phone during that time as it is our "weekend".

Just because your plans change does not mean our hours change.

Boarding takes away the majority of a families personal time. This is why most do not stay open after so many years. We do not get holidays, weekends or even sick days off. If we want a day off we have to actually close boarding completely.

‼️🚨IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🚨‼️
With nicer weather and spring break on the horizon, we are entering one of the busiest times of year. A few of our groomers are booked 2 weeks out and Ashley will be gone for spring break. Please do not wait until the very last minute to try to book grooming appointments. We do our best to accommodate everyones schedules, but this time of year it gets tough. For this reason we feel we should reiterate the importance of calling ahead not only to schedule, but to CANCEL as well. The shop’s cancellation policy requires a 24hr notice if you can’t make your scheduled time. Failure to call and let us know will result in you being charged for the missed appointment. If we are unable to answer the phone just leave a message. Small businesses count on their customers showing up. We turn people away daily because we don’t have openings, so we are strictly enforcing this policy. Thanks everyone! We appreciate your continued patronage.

SHED HAPPENS!!!!

It's that time of year where certain breeds start shedding that seasonal coat. Let the girls not only helps make your dog more comfortable, but save your house from all the hair tumbleweeds floating around.

This video shows the pre bath blow out to not only help make washing and drying easier, but relieve alot of stress on the dog from over brushing. As dogs get older they do not tolerate being brushed as much. As you can see here this girl is enjoying her blow out.

Just a reminder that the Cairo location will be closed this coming week and reopen on March 11th.

The in town location will be closed this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to have work done on the building. Hopefully the weather cooperates so we can get reopened asap.

WEEK OF MARCH 3RD!!!

Cairo location for boarding and grooming will be closed from March 3rd until March 10th and reopen on March 11th.

In town location will be closed March 3rd until March 5th. The outside of the building will be getting new siding due to ice storm damage. Of course this is dependent on weather conditions at this time, but hopefully it gets done on schedule.

Joyce and Dexter are in shop for a bit today for those who can get out and need a little sprucing up. Ashley, Makayla, Lacey, and Haley live too far out so they are taking a snow day. Stay safe and warm everybody!

Our Groomers

Joyce Hardin and Kati Terrell met while grooming at another local grooming spot for over 3 years. We decided it was time to move on and be our own boss. Joyce has been grooming since 2008 when taught by a groomer in Evansville with over 20 years experience. She is also the one you want to talk to about grooming cats as well. Kati started training at Petropolis Grooming Academy located in Chesterfield, MO in late 2011. She immediately opened up her own shop in Carmi, IL after she completed the course. She sold her business and trained the new owner after she met her husband who lived in Henderson so she could move here. Joyce and Kati both love animals and will treat your fur babies like they were their own. Also at the shop you can, most of the time, visit Moose the French Bulldog. He absolutely loves people, other dogs, cats, and definitely treats. We look forward to meeting you and your fur babies.
