🐾 WELCOME TO THE RUN FREE K9 PACK, SHARLEY! 🐾

Everyone meet Sharley, a sweet 1.5-year-old girl who has quite the story. 💙

Sharley was recently adopted after being rescued from a hoarding situation. She absolutely loves other dogs and is even cat-friendly, but people are a completely different story. Right now, this sweet girl is terrified of humans and unsure how to trust them.

Until just a few months ago, Sharley had never even experienced life outside. 🌎 Because of this, everyday things that most dogs take for granted can feel completely overwhelming to her.

Sharley will be spending the next 4 weeks with Run Free K9 for our Board & Train program, where our biggest goal isn't simply obedience—it's helping her learn that the world can be a safe place. ❤️

Her program will focus heavily on:

🐾 Overall confidence building
🤝 Building trust with new people
🏡 Potty training
🌎 Positive exposure to new environments and experiences
💙 Learning that humans can be safe, patient, and kind

With fearful dogs like Sharley, we don't expect confidence overnight. We're going to meet her where she is, celebrate the little victories, and give her the time and experiences she needs to begin coming out of her shell.

For Sharley, something as simple as choosing to approach a new person, exploring somewhere unfamiliar, or confidently going outside can be a HUGE accomplishment. 🥹

Gigi has been with us for a week and is absolutely thriving with the structure we've provided!

She's excelling at leash manners, recalls, waits, sits, downs, and place. She still needs a little confidence boost in public, but so far this week we've explored several parks, petvstores, the Marsh Walk, and even dined out at a restaurant.

We're incredibly proud of this girl and can't wait to see her continued progress next week when she goes home!

Full house this last two weeks! Welcoming Gigi the 7 month beagle pit mix to a 2 week board and train. She came all the way from Va!

Ollie just completed his board and train, Titus, Jasper, Pepper and Penny have all gone back home, now the house seems a bit too quiet. Missy the Maltese just graduated her 6 week puppy lessons! Woohoo! Shes such a smart little rabbit!
