As a dedicated, fully volunteer-run nonprofit, we make equine interactions and the wellness they bring accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our community. With the help of our four senior therapy horses, we foster community connection and promote wellness through engaging and inclusive events. Our programs also aim to increase awareness of the human-animal bond, building empathy and care for animals. Join us in our mission to create a healthier, more connected community.

🐴💜 TEEN EQUINE ENCOUNTERS ARE BACK! 💜🐴

School is back in session, schedules are getting busy, and sometimes teens just need a place to unplug, slow down, and do something real. 🌿

Join us Thursday, September 17 from 6:15–7:15 PM for our next Teen Equine Encounter at T.H.E. Center!

This small-group, hands-on experience gives teens the opportunity to step away from screens and everyday pressures while spending time with our therapy horses, learning new skills, and connecting with others.

During the hour, teens will:
🐴 Meet & bond with our horses
🪮 Learn hands-on grooming skills
💬 Explore how horses communicate
📸 Enjoy fun photo opportunities
💜 Build confidence, connect & make memories

🎒 BACK-TO-SCHOOL SPECIAL: ONLY $25 PER PERSON!
Regularly $35 per person.

No horse experience is needed, just come ready to learn, connect, and enjoy an evening at the ranch. 💜

Goodbye, August… hello, September! 💛🐴

Join us Saturday, September 12 from 8:30–10:30 AM for Coffee with Horses!
Spend a peaceful morning connecting with our therapy horses and animals, sipping coffee, sharing a donut, enjoying hands-on activities, and making memories with the people you love. Whether you come with family, friends, or on your own, Coffee with Horses is all about creating space for relaxation, animal connection, community, and meaningful time together. 🌻

Summer may not officially be over just yet, but we’re ready for slower mornings, sunflower season, and those first little hints of fall. 🍂

✨ Back-to-School Special... Only $25! ✨

The big kids are back in school… now it’s time for a little midweek moment for you and your littlest ranch buddy. 💜

Join us Tuesday, September 1 from 9:30–10:30 AM for a special Mommy & Me Equine Encounter designed for moms with little ones who aren’t quite school-age yet.

This small-group experience is all about slowing down, stepping away from the busy week, and spending meaningful time together at the ranch. 🌿🐴

During your hour together, you’ll:
🐎 Meet & bond with our therapy horses
🪮 Learn how to groom with hands-on practice
💬 Learn about horses and how they communicate
📸 Enjoy adorable photo opportunities
💕 Make special memories together in a relaxed, intimate setting

And for Back-to-School, we’re offering this experience for just $25 per person, regularly $35! 🎉
✨ Children 2 & under are FREE.

💛🐴 It Takes a Village 🐔💛

And today was the PERFECT example of that! 🥰

Our student forgot his boots today… no problem! His friend happily loaned him a pair. 👢❤️ Our volunteers who came to cuddle chickens jumped right in and became part of the lesson. 🐔🤗 And before we knew it, everyone was learning, helping, laughing and enjoying the animals together.

Sometimes the best lessons aren't the ones that go exactly as planned. They're the ones where everyone comes together and we get to see kindness, friendship, flexibility and community in action.

☀️🔥 Heat Advisory = A Different Kind of Ranch Day! 🔥☀️

With the heat turned WAY up today, we traded some of our usual outdoor work for a little organizing, volunteering, and getting things done behind the scenes! 🧹📦🐴

And of course, our chickens deserved a special way to beat the heat too… 🐔🍉🧊 WATERMELON ICE CUBES! They definitely approved! 😂❤️

Not every volunteer day looks the same. Sometimes making a difference means working with the animals, and sometimes it means organizing, cleaning, prepping, and making sure everything is ready for the days ahead. 💚

A productive day, happy chickens, and another reminder that every little job helps keep T.H.E. Center running! 🐴🐔💚

Sometimes a canceled lesson turns into exactly what our herd — and our lesson team — needs. 🥰🐴

With our student unable to make it today, the Lesson Team decided to put that time to good use with a little mini spa day! 🧼🪮🌺

Sterling and Footsie got lots of grooming, attention, scratches, pampering…and of course plenty of love. ❤️

And just look at those SMILES! 😁 These quieter moments at the ranch are where some pretty special things happen. Friendships between volunteers grow stronger, bonds with our animals deepen, and we get the chance to simply slow down, laugh together and enjoy being with our herd. 🐴💕👭

Our horses give so much to our students and volunteers, and days like this remind us that the relationships we build — with each other and with our animals — are a huge part of what makes T.H.E. Center so special. 💚

Judging by the pictures, I think Sterling and Footsie were perfectly happy with the change of plans. 😂🐴💕

🌟 TEAM TUESDAY: MEET MIA! 🌟
We absolutely LOVE having Mia on T.H.E. Team! 🐴💚 Since joining us in April 2026, Mia has quickly become such a natural leader. She takes initiative, jumps in wherever she’s needed, and is always bringing thoughtful, creative ideas to the table.

As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist with Menifee Union School District, Mia also brings her experience working with kiddos of so many different abilities to the ranch, something that fits so beautifully with our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.

Mia shares:

🌿 What do you love about volunteering at T.H.E. Center?
“I love how peaceful and calm it always is at the ranch. The horses and chickens always seem happy (or sassy!) and that makes me happy.”

❤️ Do you have a favorite horse?
“Favorite horse is so hard to pick! But I have a soft spot for Sterling and Red. Red reminds me so much of my English Bulldog, Clover.”

✨ What does T.H.E. Center mean to you?
“I always tell people to come to the ranch to reset and connect with the animals. It’s full of love, community, and happiness. Everyone who is here truly wants to be here and loves each animal.”

✨ MONDAY MOTIVATION ✨

One of the best reminders kids give us is that ...joy doesn’t have to be complicated.💚

Sometimes it’s a rocking horse, a big imagination, and a few minutes of pure fun. As adults, we can get so caught up in schedules, responsibilities, and what’s next that we forget how important it is to simply enjoy the moment we’re in.

So this Monday, take a little inspiration from the kiddos at the ranch: never stop having fun, stay curious, and don’t underestimate the happiness that can come from life’s simplest things. 🐴✨

A very special thank you to the Hemet Women's Club for donating these rocking horses to T.H.E. Center! They truly have been the gift that keeps on giving; our kiddos absolutely LOVE them, and they’ve quickly become a favorite at every Coffee with Horses. 💚

🎒🐴 Thank you for joining us for Coffee with Horses: Back to School! ☕💚

We had such a wonderful morning yesterday and loved seeing so many NEW families come out to meet our horses, spend time together, and be part of our ranch community!

The first 40 kiddos even received a special horse pencil to take home... a little reminder to bring some ranch spirit, kindness, and confidence with them into the new school year. ✏️🐴

One of our favorite things about Coffee with Horses is giving families a place to unplug from screens, step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and simply slow down, connect, and enjoy being together.💚

At T.H.E. Center, volunteering is about so much more than helping with horses, chickens, lessons, programs or ranch chores. It’s about connection, purpose, friendship and knowing that your time made someone’s day a little brighter.
