Got a new puppy for the holidays? Well, here are 4 ways to help your pup cope with you returning to work.

1. Nows the time to start introducing new routines. The more time you give your pup to adjust, the easier the process.
2. Take anxiety out of your departure. Leave for short spans at a time and gradually increase the time. Giving treats as you leave helps to condition the pet.
3. Keep them engaged. Keeping them mentally engaged and occupied helps distract them from your departure.
4. Turn on background noise. By turning on a TV, radio, or sound machine, you provide your pet some company.
