This sweet girl is the perfect blend of active playfulness and gentle affection. Poppy might be a little reserved initially, but she warms up quickly to new friends and situations. Once comfortable, this delightful kitten loves to show her affectionate side, whether it's getting cozy in your lap for cuddles or melting into a blissful purr with a good chin rub. When she isn't enjoying some lap time, Poppy is a super playful and active little cat who is sure to keep you entertained. My name is Cami, and Iโ€™m writing to you from my little window at the Pacific Beach PetSmart. Iโ€™ve been very good this year โ€” lots of naps, gentle head bumps, and practicing my best โ€œpick meโ€ face.

This year, my Christmas wish is simple. I donโ€™t need toys or treats โ€” Iโ€™m wishing for a home of my own, and maybe homes for the kitty friends I share my days with here. We practice being brave, gentle, and hopeful, just in case today is the day someone stops, looks into our eyes, and falls in love.

If youโ€™re making your list, Santa, please remind people to slow down and meet the cats waiting quietly. Sometimes the best gifts donโ€™t come in boxes โ€” they purr.

This is Rolo ๐Ÿพ A sweet lguy whoโ€™s been through more than he should have.

Rolo is a 9-year-old male Chihuahua/Min Pin mix who was discovered abandoned on the side of the road in September. He is microchipped, but his ownerโ€™s declined to take him back. ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข A foster was contacted and stepped in to keep him safe for the past few months. While she couldnโ€™t keep him permanently, she made sure he was cared for until he could find his next chapter.

Through it all, Rolo has remained incredibly loving. Heโ€™s happy, playful, potty trained, loves people, knows his name, and does great riding in the car. Heโ€™s a house dog who truly wants to be near his humans. Rolo may be 9, but he acts more like a 4-year-old โ€” playful, affectionate, and full of life.

ARE Animal Rescue is seeking dependable volunteers for our Corona PetSmart Adoption Center at 573 McKinley Street.

We appreciate help during all shifts, but our ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ง๐ž๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ž๐ค๐๐š๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ, and we are especially hoping to add reliable adult volunteers to cover those times.

Volunteers commit to at least one 2-hour shift per month, but of course can help more often. You choose your shifts through our online calendar, making it easy to fit into your schedule.

๐Ÿ•˜ Shift schedules:
โ€ข Monโ€“Sat: 9โ€“11am & 6-8pm
โ€ข Sun: 10amโ€“12pm & 4โ€“6pm

Tasks include feeding, cleaning, cuddling, and helping potential adopters meet our wonderful cats. A couple hours of your time can make a big difference in their lives. ๐Ÿ’›
