The girls got to test out there new today.

So far I’m happy with them. I sent in there measurements and purchased what there fitters recommended. They slipped on like a glove and I noticed no rubbing afterwards. Tito even had some cactus spines stuck in hers. Without the boots they would’ve gone in her heel! Neither horse seemed bothered by the rocky terrain like they usually are. I look forward to testing them out on many more trail rides this summer.

Both mares got there udders cleaned with this stuff today and it worked SO well. It starts as a gel but lathers into a foamy soap. Broke down all the gunk and washed it off with warm water. No need to scrub on the more delicate skin. It also smells nice, as an added bonus. Highly recommend.

I’ve still got plenty of spots for the summer! I’m currently booking out to middle of May. I’m available for on and off site training and can work around your schedule. Only want training 3 days a week? I can make that work. I usually start to fill up around this time and only work horses through October so get signed up now!

I am starting to fill out my 2026 Schedule. Openings available starting in April, going through October.

Board and train available in Helena: $1,200/month
Off-Site Training: $50/hr + Travel Fee

I am opening up my books for off-site training. I have availability on weekdays and limited availability on the weekends.

I specialize in problem horses and rescues. I can help with trailer loading, prep for farrier, haltering and catching, getting used to tack, and more. I use a mix of positive reinforcement and natural horsemanship.

$30/session + travel fee
I am only offering ground work sessions at this time. No riding.

I started my week by checking something really fun off my bucket list. Thank you so much Sandy and Chris for inviting me out to your place, providing me a horse and showing me the ropes. I had a great time and can’t wait to be back.

We got lucky with a beautiful fall day Tuesday while riding. The photos don’t do it justice, it was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in Montana so far.

ISO Barn Management Position
Hello, my name is Melody Perry and I’m looking for a barn management position in Helena or the surrounding areas. Ideally, I would love a full-time position but am open to part time as well. I have an associates in equine business management through Ohio University and have hands on experience managing an equine non-profit. There I assisted in rehabilitating and rehoming rescue horses along with upkeep of the property and management of paperwork. I’ve worked at a variety of barns around town in a variety of different disciplines. I’m organized and tidy and am happiest when I’m busy.

On the training side of things, I specialize in problem horses and young horses. While I can start horses under saddle, it’s not my preference. I’m a competent rider and handler and can safely work with stallions, young horses and more. Before the closure of the program, I was a TIP trainer through the BLM and have worked with many “unhandleable” horses. I would love to expand my riding and training knowledge in any discipline, but I have a special interest in dressage and working ranch horse.

I’m looking for consistent hours and pay, some place I can put down roots and turn it into a career. I’m happy to send out my resume and references as needed. Housing not needed but board for 2 mares would be ideal for a full-time position.
