🍀 Proud to Support Our 4-H Youth! 🍀

Mountain View Veterinary Clinic was honored to be a sponsor in the Showcase Barn Awards for Kootenai/Shoshone County 4-H youth this year! We are proud to support these young people who are learning valuable skills, building confidence, and preparing to be the leaders of our future. ❤️

4-H is about so much more than showing animals! In the Showcase Barn, you’ll find incredible projects and exhibits including Veterinary Science, Archery, Fishing, Geology, and so much more! 🎣🏹🪨🐴

If you have some time today, swing by the fair on this final day and check out the Showcase Barn located under the grandstands. Come see the hard work and dedication these kids have put into their projects!

And be sure to say hi to our technician Megan, who has been volunteering at the fair all week. She is either in the Showcase Barn or hanging out in the goat barn. She would love to see you! 🐾💙

Independence Day is almost here and it’s a big one!

Happy 250th America!

We just have a few little reminders for our pets and pet parents!

A lot of pets get pretty spooked with the booms of the fireworks 💥

Please review some tips for keeping your pet safe during the holiday…

🇺🇸 Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date
🇺🇸Keep pets in a safe secure area, you can play music to help block the scary noises
🇺🇸Do not take pets to new places or to firework shows where they may feel uncomfortable
🇺🇸Keep pets on their regular diets
🇺🇸Don’t let pets chew or play with fireworks

Meet Jodi! 💙

If you’ve visited our clinic, chances are you’ve experienced her warm smile and positive energy. Jodi has been part of our team for nearly 6 years, and she truly is a shining light here.

Often called the “cheerleader” of Mountain View, Jodi is always lifting others up, celebrating the team, and reminding everyone they’re doing a great job. Jodi loves spending time with her husband and her dog Pine.

We’re also so proud of her for taking the next step in her journey by enrolling in technician school to become a certified veterinary technician! 🎓🐾

What would your favorite catch phrase be at the clinic? (She has a lot😅)
“Pump up the jams” and “GOOD WORK!!!”

What is your all time favorite animal?
“Horses and specifically Morgans”

What made you want to get into veterinary medicine?
“I grew up on a farm surrounded by a lot of animals. I was also involved in 4-H with my goats and horses and that helped me discover my love for animals”

Since 2008, Beth has been our calm in the chaos. She is always sweet, steady, and ready for anything the front desk throws her way. She is a friendly face that clients count on. When she isn’t at the clinic she loves hiking Farragut and spending time with her grandkids… and she’s definitely counting down to Silverwood season!

Meet the friendly faces behind the front desk 💙
And if you already know the front team, maybe you will learn a little bit more about them 🤗

This is Jessie, one of our amazing veterinary receptionists! She has been a part of our team for going on 6 years!

Outside of the clinic, Jessie loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking, and enjoys making memories with her family. Her strong faith and caring nature shine through in the way she connects with both pets and their people every day.

We asked Jessie some questions and this is what she had to say🤗

What is your favorite part of your job?
“My favorite part would have to be my work family and building a relationship with pets and clients” 💜

What is your favorite caffeinated beverage?
“Caffeine? Yes, please!”

Phones ringing, lobby full, computer freezing…What’s your survival move?
“Keep a smile(there'll be time to cry later)😆and tackle it one step at a time.”

What is your favorite background music to work to? “Probably would have to be Fortunate Son by CCR 😎😜”
Another fun fact about Jessie, she loves her chickens and also has a habit of adopting special needs pups (check out sweet Dottie in her photo)

Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week! 🐾

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who keep everything running smoothly from the very first “hello.” Our receptionists are the first friendly faces you see and the reassuring voices on the other end of the phone when you need us most.

They juggle schedules like magic, make room for unexpected emergencies, keep lab work moving to our doctors, and somehow manage it all with patience, compassion, and a smile. They are a critical part of our team and a vital part of every pet’s care journey.

Thank you for your dedication, your kindness, and for being the calm in the chaos. We appreciate you more than words can say! 💙🐶🐱
