A big big welcome to the soon to be Dr. Sam Lynch! She is currently a fourth year vet student but she will be graduating later this month and will start working at Have A Heart soon after! Please help us welcome her to the clinic!

Here is how she describes herself!
"I love spending time with my family and my animals. I have a five-year-old cat, Mai Tai, and my parents have two rescue dogs, Charles and W***y. In my free time, you can usually find me hiking, crocheting, watching Survivor, or heading to a classic rock concert.

I’m especially excited to build strong relationships with my patients and their families while continuing to grow and explore all aspects of primary care veterinary medicine. I have a particular interest in surgery and diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and radiology."

We appreciate everyone for being patient the last 2 weeks as we had to shift around a few appointments, Dr. Nickless' cat was very sick and passed over the rainbow bridge.

With love, she has been returned home and is in Dr. Nickless' garden with her other pets.

Welcome back to Surgery Saturdays! Today you get to meet Sadie, the sweetest princess ever! She had this eyelid tumor that was irritating her eyelid; generally eyelid tumors are meibomian gland adenomas, a benign type of tumor that is slow growing and is often not removed because it isn't irritating. However, Sadie was super irritated by it.

Dr. Nickless removed the mass, and we got the great news that it was still a benign type of tumor called a meibomian gland epithelioma, which is much less common. Sadie healed up great and wore a visor collar to protect her eye while she is healing!
