Meet Wilma. ❤️🐷
Wilma came to us as a young pig after being poorly bred, which left her with several genetic health issues from an early age. Throughout her life, she’s struggled with chronic skin problems and difficulty maintaining a healthy weight.
A few years ago, Wilma became pregnant unexpectedly, and sadly, most of her piglets did not survive. Since then, caring for her has remained an ongoing journey. Keeping weight on her and managing her skin condition requires constant attention, specialized care, and regular veterinary visits.
In fact, Wilma sees the veterinarian more than any other animal on the farm. Despite all the challenges she faces, she continues to show us her sweet spirit and determination every day.
She may require a little extra care, but we’re committed to giving Wilma the happy, comfortable life she deserves.

Please help us welcome Amber to the Quillow Acres farmily!! Like you’ve seen in previous posts, I am currently in a wheelchair and unable to care for our sweet farm residents. We’ve had the most amazing caretakers while I’ve been down, but we figured out we needed more permanent help since I have a long recovery road ahead and honestly needed help even before the accident. Amber has experience showing goats when she was younger and in 4-H, has volunteered with other rescues, and has worked in the veterinary field. We are beyond excited to have her and grateful she’s willing to dive right in. - Lauren

Ready for her person! Meet Chai. She is a beautiful 17-18 16.3h OTTB mare looking for her forever home. She was seized by animal control a few years ago and then adopted to a loving home to be a companion so we have very limited information on her. She has been great as a companion and could do that job again as she does well with most horses, but she also wouldn’t mind a job. She’s had a 30 day refresher with very experienced trainers who helped refine her ground manners (she’s still a bit pushy at times) and put her under saddle to see what level rider she may need. Due to her lack of knowledge, we suggest an intermediate to advanced rider. She’s a wonderful mover and not spooky so she might make a great trail mount.
She might also make a great broodmare!
Let us know if you have any questions or would like an adoption application! Adoption fee does apply. Videos upon request.

Meet Doris. She was lent to me by one of my besties and the hopes is she is going to help me better get around the farm to see my animals. The current wheelchair is most definitely not made for off roading. If you’ve ever met a Doris you know they don’t put up with much, they’ve seen some stuff, and they’re really hard working. And you can tell just by looking at her that all those things apply. We’ll be making our first trip around the farm today so please pray it goes well!! I miss being able to visit with all my babies! -Lauren

We want to give an enormous thank you to everyone who organized and participated in the fundraiser this past week at Star 4 Equestrian. Y’all have no idea how much you’ve helped us keep these animals fed while Lauren is not able to do be at the farm or fundraise. It’s so heartwarming that our horse community really showed up and helped while we were in desperate need. We’ll never be able to say thank you enough.
