‼️‼️It’s pathetic that GA is 5th in the nation!🥲🥲🥲 PLEASE be a responsible pet owner‼️‼️

Did you know that Georgia ranks 5th in the entire nation for the highest shelter euthanasia rates of healthy companion animals? 💔

In a single year, over 34,000 dogs and cats in our state lost their lives simply because there wasn't enough space, enough foster homes, or enough adopters. Behind every single one of those numbers was a heart that beat for someone, a soul deserving of a safe, warm bed.

Shelter workers cry in their cars after their shifts. Rescues are drowning in intake requests. But rescuing alone won't pull us out of this water - we MUST shut off the faucet.
Spay and neuter is the ONLY proactive, permanent solution to ending shelter overcrowding and stopping needless loss of life in Georgia.

Fix Georgia Pets has already prevented an estimated 64,000+ unwanted births through targeted grant funding this past year alone.

But we can't stop now.

Be the reason a shelter cage stays empty.

🌸💞 Gypsy was adopted from HCAR in June of 2021. I’ll never forget Judy and I went to a home where she was chained up.🥲 It was the first chain I had ever cut off a dog and it was an amazing feeling.💪🙏 Gypsy passed away unexpectedly today and we are all heart broken.💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
I always thought she was a gorgeous dog and she was incredibly sweet!🥰
I love the picture of her running with my dogs ~ she was free to run for the first time ever!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Please keep her family in your thoughts.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
RIP Gypsy ~ I am so thankful I was a part of your journey and your family loved you deeply!💔

Imagine traveling over 3,000 miles round trip from Colorado to Georgia in a motorhome to adopt TWO Australian Shepherds to make sure they could stay together forever!

🥹❤️That’s exactly what this incredible couple did! Three days to get here and three days to get home! And if that wasn’t amazing enough, they brought along their two senior Aussies, also rescues, to make sure everyone would get along before making the commitment.

And guess what? It was a HUGE success! Four rescued Aussies, one very special family, and a whole lot of love! 🐶🐶🐶🐶❤️

People like this wonderful couple remind us WHY we do what we do. When rescue gets overwhelming, exhausting, and heartbreaking, stories like this restore our faith and keep us going.❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

Thank you for going the extra mile — literally thousands of them — to give these two deserving dogs their happily ever after! 🏡🐾🚐🏔️
